samcooper182
Hi just wondering round about what would be the correct width for my bars as i currently have the 29" Zoo risers. However, i seem to be getting some pain in my forearm nearest my wrist. Could this be somthing to do with my bars being too long for me as im only 5' 5" :$ Thanks in advance. jandamna
yeah i have some rubbish bike hut bars, but they are also 29" and they are fine for me, and im 5 foot 4! lol, but you should cut them down to whichever length suits you, its all about personal preference.Jan
Mowgli
It is probably the angle as ash said, me being 5'5 as well i dont have any problem with 30" bars. If you havent been riding long it might be justweak muscles that are not used to the shock. If you ride with any experienced riders ask them when next out they should point you in the rightdirection.Regards
Sam O
Its all about personal preference really, generally the wider your handlebars are the more control you have over the bike. About the pain in your arms, try to build a bit of strength in them and they should stop hurting. My arms hurt there when turning on the spot.
