RossMcd
I dont think there is space for snail cam bolts on the zona zip frame.Im just curious how that would work???
Grant Hundley
i forgot to say you cant use snail cams there is no bolt for them to hit.
macy`d
that seems a good spec for a wile and then you can slowly build it up buying nicer parts when something brakes.
Broomer
that seems a good spec for a wile and then you can slowly build it up buying nicer parts when something brakes. what parts are not nice? I wouldnt buy a onza hub, just had a bad experience with them, the axles break alot.

Grant Hundley
Change the freewheel to a tensile and it will be good.
ilikeriding
Change the freewheel to a tensile and it will be good.or not (if short of cash), ACS claws last ages and arent too shabby
thewoomaster
sounds like a fat set up apart from bars (bit long) , what does frame feel like for riding, my mate was thinkin about gettin one?
Muel
Nope, I would get this spec:should be ok for a while shouldnt it?Frame - Zona ZipForks - Echo LiteHeadset - FSA Equipe BB - Echo VPStem -Try-All Bars - Zoo RiserGrips - Tarty Raffle Grips (Zip Grips are too thick).Front brake -Hope Trial 160mm Rear Brake - HS33Cranks - Echo Forged Pedals -Onza VPChain -KMC KoolFree wheel -Tensile Rear Sprocket - Echo Screw onFront wheel - Onza drilled / Hope XC hubRear wheel - Onza sealed hub / Echo 07 RimTensioner - Monty CamsBash Plate - ZonaTyres - Maxxis Creepy Crawler (pair)Those are the only things I would change on that spec, its all pretty much there, but never put an ACS claw on when a Tensile is only a few quid more and won't die after a few weeks. jsychem
All of them specs are more than fine!
Muel
or not (if short of cash), ACS claws last ages and arent too shabbyLMAO, I've only just seen that! Mine died in a week because it came loose so often, I got it welded up and it still skipped and came loose!Get a Tensile, mine has been on for 7 months and has never skipped or come loose. Or made nasty noises or anything. Edited July 9, 2007 by KuelMuel
tom jersey
get some pictures up boi, thats quite a nice spec but would probably change the freewheel but if you like it then good on you!get some pictures up soon!
N Roach
Why worry what the bike looks like on paper, if you feel that the bike is easy to ride and feels nice Edited July 8, 2007 by chocolate_bikes
ben gray
sounds like a fat set up apart from bars (bit long) , what does frame feel like for riding, my mate was thinkin about gettin one?zoo! bars are great, why do you think they're are to wide? surely personal preference is more important, an bars can be shorthened if he wanted to (although i wouldn't bother).Nope, I would get this spec:why? gu is so much better an less common than a zona zip.
Muel
why? gu is so much better an less common than a zona zip.Because I prefer the Zona Zip, and his spec is based around the Zona Zip, he wants us to recomend any other parts not change his frame! Joe Sheehan!
pretty much like nile71091s zip, but he has a rear zoo hub, echo headset, tensile cranks, tryall bars and freewheel. That rides pretty nice, so yeah, get that
gianttrials
Because I prefer the Zona Zip, and his spec is based around the Zona Zip, he wants us to recomend any other parts not change his frame!then why did he put a gu in a newer list???ben gray

mod_biker_barney
Yep, sounds like a very nice spec...However, i would use a 160 disc rotor as i'm always worried about hitting mine in walls etc, up to you though...
jsychem
nice spec, but if i was you i would get a try-all freewheel.
