Balman
im thinking of selling my bike and buying a full build koxx hydroxx i have riden the short one today and i have to say one of the nicest bikes i have ever riden sooo nice but when it comes to owning one is it any differnt as they guy who's it was said that other than them not doing the odd bit up as tight as they could it was fine and hes yet to batter it but i have herd sooo many storys of koxx snaping, cranking and denting really easy, is this just the old koxx bikes is the hydroxx up to mainly street riding has anyone dented one doing something really little. Just want to know who has one what they think how there geting on with it and what problems have came along if any would be really helpfull. thanks in advance Jack
Ash-Kennard
i rode a guys in london the other week (toby i think?) he had the short one and it was THE nicest bike ever everything felt so stiff, solid and responsive and had awesome geo.to be honest if your a basher i wouldnt bother. any frame will dent if hit in the right/wrong place, just koxx's have a tendency to be weak. although i hear this one has undergone alot of prototyping so MOST PROBLEMS should HAVE BEEN SORTEDGET IT
Greetings
Haven't ridden a Hydroxx but a few Koxx full builds. I think that everybody who can afford a Koxx, should get one just to see how a pro trials bike feels like. These bikes might seem very similar to anything else in terms of geometry but there's something about them that makes them ride like a dream.Ash, the Hydroxx weighs 1,5kgs, even if it's undergone a lot of testing it can't be that strong. The Try-All Rage bars are to small for me really but I would get used to them, they feel much nicer and easier to use than my Adamant bars. mrBENN
As Kennard said, yeah there was a person on one in London and it was so smooth, you should definatly get one, it would suit you so much but aint they made out of a weak material? lankyri
you may like that but jacks coming a from a long ko frame to a short koxx and maybe he may not like it due to the shortness and as the koxx long is shorter than the ko long is it not worth trying that

Toby
love my bike feels so solid to ride, as for dents i cant make any judement on them so far , i have cut piece of hoose pipe on my chainstay so have yet to dent that, just make sure to tighten every single thing on the bike, specially the hose bolts thats connect to the hope caliper these were obviously not done up enough ended up having them leak slightly but noticed quick enough to not get any serious contamination, also check the headset as mine came with minimal grease, the paint seems to be very flakey as soon as you hit it it will fall off pritty much, but overall im really enjoying riding the hydroxx will have to see if theres any problems with the frame later on when ive riden it some more, everyone whos tried it so far seems to love it though Edited July 8, 2007 by toby

Toby
just an update on my hydroxx, the free wheel likes to come loose alot now even its apparently not supposed to , also the rear drop outs are very weak and will bend had some trouble getting my rear wheel out
Waynio
dinting the down tube and such forth i think will be harder than normal to do, its box section and hydroformed so that it has the profile to resist denting. if you dent a square tubed bike you know you have hit something pretty hard, i know when i have my Pace trials frames it was rock hard to dent the down tube!!!!Wayne.
