Krisboats
The Pc is locked to the Xbox motherboard. There is no way of ever using one in a pc. trust me I have tried. :DYeah, Always make backups, on your xbox and your PC. Your softmod installer should make a backup folder in one of the partitions just copy that over FTP. I guess now would be a great time for me to say how we fitted the xbox hard drive into my friends pc and got it backed up using a boot disc we used when loading up the pc. We then used the same cd to load on a softmod with the xbox's specific EEPROM code and install all the nice softmod things. Putting the xbox hard drive in a pc then using the cd to click okay, next and go is a hell of a lot easier than any of the other methods. You just need the xbox EEPROM file before you can make the cd So yeah, shits on what you know really and you can't reply back because you got de-validated. ha ha
MadManMike
I'm guessing now would be the time to insert a funny image with the text "Pwned" put over the top.

Tomm
To be fair to Charlie, I'm not convinced that technique was around when he wrote the post a year ago - I was always under the impression that you couldn't connect an xbox hard drive to a PC because the file systems are completely different. Obviously someone has found a way with a boot disk.

Obviously someone has found a way with a boot disk. I found it on a forum from 2005 Its literally just a boot disc that uses the xbox hard drive in your pc, pretty simple really. Was a bit harsh i guess, :$ I blame irritable mood swings due to my current messed up sleep pattern.

Josh PWND
It works on a PC you have to changle the slave pin and thewn run it after it finds the drives and then turn xbox on and it works. Trust me i modded all my xboxs that way.
