tomturd
Cool as.What stuff can you download? Is it like, pirate stuff? Appz? Music?Um, anything, yep - have a look around nzbsrus.com to get the idea. Obviously I only use it for legal stuff though, like... reading messages about star trek and the latest linux distro Unlike bittorrent the files are stored on servers, rather than home PCs, so you always get full download speeds. Also, unlike bittorrent, the files are only stored on the server for X amount of days (they call it retention) - this free one has 30 days of retention, which is quite low, mine has 90 I think. New files are being posted all the time though so its not really an issue.nmt_oli, leave it a few minutes before reconnecting. Never had the problem of it slowing everything down, try using newsleecher (what I use, a bit like grabit) or nzb-o-matic (very simple but does the job) instead, although if you use these theres another couple of steps you need to do after you've finished downloading (checking the files for errors, and fixing them if there are, and unpacking the rars) - grabit does these steps automatically but its simple to do it yourself - let me know if that speeds things up and I'll explain the last couple of steps child porn mostly each to their own I guess... nmt_oli
Somethings are downloading now, although some batch thingys are still coming up with errors. do i need all of the batch thingys to make the final file work?
tomturd
Somethings are downloading now, although some batch thingys are still coming up with errors. do i need all of the batch thingys to make the final file work? Can you post a screenshot? I'm not really sure, I don't use grabit often, or nzbsrus :$ If the batch thingys you're talking about are connections, eg "400 news.hitnews.eu: your per user connection limit has been reached" - then thats fine, as long as you're still downloading It'll fix itself. tomturd
I'm not sure about that, never had that error...It looks like its not finding some of the files, if I were you I wouldn't risk it, cut your losses and go for a different nzb (I had a look, there are loads for matrix). Seems like your having an unlucky start to this!
nmt_oli
its not just the matrix tom, its happened with every thing ive tried so far.maybe its cause im going for HD movies, less servers have them?
Dan Clark
Oh yeah, as soon as people post stuff about pirating it gets locked, as soon as TomTurd posts a thread about pirating......
tomturd
its not just the matrix tom, its happened with every thing ive tried so far.maybe its cause im going for HD movies, less servers have them? All servers should have all files, by the looks of it it was only posted 2 days ago, this free thing might be reeeeeeeeeally slow at updating the HDTV groups, thats all I can guess at really. It works fine for me downloading from newsdemon.com Have you tried anything else? Is it still only going at 30kbps?Oh yeah, as soon as people post stuff about pirating it gets locked, as soon as TomTurd posts a thread about pirating......I don't lock threads on bittorrent itself, cos in itself its not illegal, same as this ps dont download illegal stuff. nmt_oli
Im gonna keep going. its at a good speed now (500kbs), and ive told it to retry on the dodgy ones. seems to be working for some of them.

tomturd
No idea, sounds like your user/pass might be wrong, or it might just be registering you slowly in the system. If you're going to pay I'd personally go with newsdemon.com..
