I wouldn't touch the Saracen with a ten foot pole. The Da Bomb has a waaaay better spec, especially as it has Maggie HS33s. If the Saracen is anything like my old bike, it will fall apart in a matter of minutes. But I don't think there is much difference in weight, if the frame is made from the same aluminium then usually its around the same weight.

And unless I have read the post wrong, the first bike is made of steel. You'll yank your arms off trying to bunny hop, then again do anything, on that thing.

Another suggestion is to look at Onza bikes. If your just starting, they are great. Some of them come in around your price range. I gots myself an Onza T-Pro.

Hope this helps!

yup it does help but the saracen is not made out of steel? :S

Sorry bit of a grammatical error I just realised. I meant the bike that you have been offered, the Monty X- Hydra. Steel will be stronger, but it is not worth the weight if you are only just starting. Aluminium is still very strong, but a quite lot lighter.

Sorry for the misunderstanding!
