Boswell
All of the square taper BB's are pritty awful but if i had to choose the best of the worst i would recommend this one - http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10127 Edited June 28, 2007 by mr ? willy wonka
wiggleI'd say this bottom bracket is stronger than the one 'mr?' suggested (no offence meant by that). These bottom brackets always seem to have pretty good bearings and have a pretty strong axle. Boswell
(no offence meant by that).nun taken. I have never tested or seen that BB from wiggle suggeted by willy wonka but a BB costing £15 is never a good sign. I may be wrong though it could be a bargin try to find some reviews on it then make up your mind. Edited June 28, 2007 by mr ?
bousfield19
i used to swear by the old raceface square taper bottom brackets and also have had lot of use out of a hope one so i woould suggest spending some money and getting one of these if money is an issue the good old soid axle un52 is always a good cheap alternative
barrybaines
I know you are looking for a square taper BUT as a recent convert to the mighty hollowtech2 on my tarmac eater, is there a trials crankset that will adopt the new hollowtech2 system? I mean they are light smooth and easy to maintain and you wouldn't beleive how solid they fell in comparison to square tapers!
