El Cristoff
hi all,I've always tried to understand geometries and what they do, but i have always failed miserably. so can anyone tell me what exactly BB+, head tube angle, chain stay lengths and stuff do and how they affect the ride of a bike.CheersChris x Edited June 28, 2007 by elcristoff-t-pro
Ash-Kennard
bb rise, higher supposedly gives better rear wheel control. lower is supposedly better for rolling moveschainstay length, longer gives better gaps generally, but compensates rear wheel control.headtube angle, allows the length of the cockpit area to be altered. slacker head tube angles generally help taps and balance, steeper angles makes the bike flickier and is good for gaps and hooks. Joe Sheehan!
Okay, (sorry to jack the thread a bit) But what sort of geo would i need if i liked doing sidehops up stuff, getting up to back wheel and gaps? Would the Geo be different for mod and stock?
