Egg Fried Rice
Who here wears anything more than a helmet, gloves and shinpads?I fell off my bike yesterday and seriously hurt my back and a back protector could of helped but it wouldnt be very practical such as the weight or size of the thing which could then restrict movement on the bike. Who here thinks we should wear more body protection ?JK Edited June 27, 2007 by J-KAY
Phil H
Who here wears anything more than a helmet, gloves and shinpads?I fell off my bike yesterday and seriously hurt my back and a back protector could of helped but it wouldnt be very practical such as the weight or size of the thing which could then restrict movement on the bike. Who here thinks we should wear more body protection here?JKI think a trials rider with a back gaurd, body suit, elbow pads or a full face would look ridiculous Isn't really necersarry in the sport because allthough some people do ridiculous things, for example the likes of damon watson, they don't use protection, they built up to that level of danger overtime. At this time of the year would be seriously uncomfortable, adds extra weight etcccccccStacks will always happen and can't be avoided, it's a part of trials. From watching so many stack videos its clear the main procaution is to have a decent chain, a decent brake setup and not be a complete nutter trying stuff miles out of your league. (not saying don't push yourself)Just some thoughts, Phil
matt rushton
I only wear a Helmet and sometimes when my hands are already hurting gloves. So no I don't think we should wear mor protection. If you hurt yourself then have a break from riding and recover simple.Matt Rushton
Muel
Helmet and gloves. I also have special airwalk shoes because the sole is thin and flat and the don't have shit loads of padding like all my other skateshoes.Shinguards are gay, they make me all sweaty, even in winter. Tommy d
I think it's going to be impossible to protect every part of your body, you just end up with too much padding to move.Just have to accept that there are risks and stick with the helmet. I wear shins too but even they are annoying. Unlucky about the back!

poopipe
If you think about it most injuries you receive are sprains and no amount of armour plating is going to stop that happening.i just wear a lid these days - anything else just gets in the way
