24 Inch Tyres

I had a look around for another 24x2.5 maxxis high roller slow reezay but cannot find one anywhere as they are OEM tyres.

Therefore I need something else for when my Maxxis is Completely worn,

So far i have my choices of

DMR moto digger 24x 2.35

Maxxis Swampthing 24x2.5 dual ply slow reezay

IRC kujo DH 24x2.35

If anyone has any experience with these in either the 24 or 26 inch tyre what do you rekon to them? And which would be the best?

the maxxis swampthing 24 by 2.5 is one of your best bets

but there are the likes of tioga, nokian and halo that make 24 tyres what would be a good investment to look into

is this for just the rear or for both front and rear

also if you still want a maxxis high roller 24 try supercycles i think thats the only place what keeps them in 2.5

Well i have a halo choir boy lite on the front because its quite lightweight. Was just looking for a rear really. Would the Swampthing be as grippy as the high roller? I have a 24 inch halo contra on my DH bike so what do you think to the 2.6 inch wide ception?

Cheers for the quick reply

I run a high roller on the back of mine (2.5) that i got from wiggle.com for not too much. And the front i use a schwalbe racing ralph as they are super lightweight. Both of which are available from wiggle now i think

The racing ralph is really light with super thin sidewalls though so i wouldn't use it on the back if you run low pressures

I used to run a pair of DMR Moto Diggers on my 24", and other than a thin sidewall, couldn't fault them. Not really too much of a problem for me, as I ran them pretty hard, and rode them on street mostly

Still got one left with a fair bit of tread at home somewhere if you want one cheapish, give me a shout if you want to try it out
