Local Violence/trouble

This is a problem which has been concerning me and has been escolationg ever so much recently! I know this kinda thing will be evry differant depending on where abouts you are from ect but i am sure that a lot of people will have some for of exsperiance/view on this situation!

I am from west kent, some areas down here are lovely but the areas around my town are right dumps! There are hundreds of Kids on ASBOS and restraining orders and to be fair in this area you are not safe! I was listning to the radio earlier and there was a 16 year old lad stabbed and killed in london, there was another 13 year old lad shot dead in brixtion on valentines day, a 15 year old lad was stabbed and beaten to death outside my local skate park! i was in a pub a few months ago when a 28 year old lad was killed outside... because he spilt some ones pint! The other night i was sleaping over at my missus place when i was woken up by shouting out side, there was a fight and 2kg ok cocaine was thrown over the street!

I mean what is this world coming to? This isnt right!

I mean those of you on here that know me know that i am not a dodgey kind of lad, that goes out looking for trouble! i just want to keep my head down get a education and get some where but people are constantly getting on my case as i am sure happens to a lot of people on here! the other week i was started on and chased down the M2 by 3 turks in a Audi... because i looked at them? And when i say looked at them, i purely looked out of my window into thiers and i was chassed flat out down the M2, this isnt right is it? i mean i did think well it must just be my area, but no! I went to hastings the other week with my mum brother and girlfriend and 5 diffrent groups of people confronted me looking for some thing to kick off. sureley this isnt right? Like i say i dont go around looking for trouble, and the last thing i want is trouble. but it just seems to follow me!

Please some one say that they have this kind of trouble around thier area? I am well and trult fed up of constantly looking over my shoulder watching out for people!

Does any one else have this kind of problem!

I'll get a better post up tomorow or something, some of it could possibly already be written up, as i've spoken to the assistant producer of jeremy kyle and they want me on the show, not gonna go on it, but will deffo get them to read out my views and stuff and i've saved the emails, so i should be able to get some stuff out of that.

My local area isn that bad at all, im quite lucky but theres an area near my gfs house, which isnt pleasten at all, i pick her up from work and put somthing in my pocket just in case. i hate the world, i cant wait to live in cananda.

Finally i found someone like me lol. Apart from your area is ghettttttoooooooo. I am always picked on started on by gangs. I hate it and i hate it when they do it when my gf is there I dont want her to see me fight or get kicked in. I dont have a clue why they do it. I think and my rents think i am picked on etc because im short and look like an easy person to beat up. But i am a big lad i may be short but i am built ad i can throw my weight about and growing up wit ha crazy dad makes you a little crazy lol.

its tsupid like just i was watching tv with my gf street wars and the people on there are crazy selling illegal fags that are 6 times worse than normal etc no one cares about anyone at all.

Ah was it! Sorry to hear it mate! I did read in your name on MSN but i havent spoken to you for a fair while, i used t talk to you a fair while back, didnt realise yuo was glen though!

This is the thing i dont understand, people may say, well you dont know the full story they could have been asking for it... BUT NOTHING! (within reason bar rape murder ect) deserves being killed over? nothing at all, and especialy at 16!

i just dont understand it, But i keep getting squared up to by older kids, i mean a lot older wel blokes! i am 16 now, 6ft tall, not bloody huge but not the skiniest twig in the tree and i am getting squared up to by fully grown me! I mean if some thing did kick off i wouldnt stand a chance! Most of the time i just walk off and pretend nothing has happened i mean id rather have this that and the other shouted at me and walk away with out a visit to the hospital if you know what i mean, i just dont unerstand the mentality of why these people do it!

in my direct area i am ok, i know the lads which you should be scared off and get on with them a lot, they drive me here there and every where and are great friends and i can be assured to have no trouble from them or thier friends, and although this seems lame! I think it may be all this gang culture shit, they see me with them, they get it in for me as this is the only thing i can think of it being?

I live in Suffolk, which is supposed to be 1 of the safest areas to live in, ok there were several prostitutes murdered recently and that was pretty big news, and of course theres lots of bad goings on, just not on the scale you guys seem to get-its crazy.

Racism seems to be a bit of a problem, i know when my sister lived in Ipswich, we would be updated about them every few days. An Indian guy got beaten to death at the bottom of her road-yet she lived in a decent area. When me and my mate Lewis used to go out in Norwich, we would get hassle, simply cos hes black, yet on my own, i don't get really get any trouble.

Most of the lads round here only take on the smaller people, its essentially bullying with worse consequences

Racism...ahhh its completely the opposite here. Well its gotten better now, from about 3 years ago. Because near me is a large muslim population, they'd come down to my area and cause trouble. Then if they got battered or if we all got caught fighting, they would just say something like "They called us paki's" and that'd be it, its only the white people in trouble. Now that shit is bad.

With my area its not overly bad nor is it safe. It all depends who you know and who you know to avoid. Basically at the local skatepark, it'll be fine, full of skaters but fine, then you'll get a massive group of chavs come up (when i say massive i mean like 25+)only to cause trouble. The worst thing for me is, whichever way you travel you always go through a rough estate or area. When i went my cousins once, we were all on this road where everyone likes to hang around, and some guy pulled up in a car (cos him and his brother went a different school than the guys i was with) and grabbed one of the lads i was with, and put his head through the rear window of his own car. Then proceeded to kick the shit out of him while he was on the floor. Then theres Bentilee, my probably closest estate, till all the houses get built near my house that is. So much goes on there its un true, stabbings, fights, drug dealing etc. Some woman got the shit kicked through her because some lad didn't like it when she told him off for denting her car, her husband and mum were in the car too. People will walk around just looking for trouble for no reason. And it seems if one person has a fight, thats it, someone else needs to fight to make the night more fun. I got stabbed with a screwdriver whilst crossing a park, because i won someones brother in a fight. Even though he started it.

Oh and Beau, i don't understand why anyone would want to pick on you lol. 'kin monster lad.

i think its very worrying, i can honestly say that racism is not a problem down here as far as i am aware, i mean there is a local Muslim camp or some thing up the road but they keep them selfs to themselfs so there is no trouble there! even the turks in the kebab shops are alright! and the only non white person which has ever started anything was some hench turk the other week but other than that its all ok!

i didnt realise portsmouth was that bad hendrix! i was sat in my mates flat the other month and he comes from the very well known place chatham, where the word Chav/pikey originated from we all know the place (almost) There was a lot of chatham lads on "Brits Behind Bars" lastnight on Bravo if anyone has wathced it. Anyway we was sat there watching TV when a bottle was thrown through his front window sending glass everywhere! I was only about 14 t the time but the lad which owned the place and theother lad i was with who were both in thier late teens early twenties picked up rather large items from under the sofa and run outside!

there was also a lad which was stabbed and sliced in his own hoe only a few doors down from me? Its not right at all!

I can understand people with the racism problems around thier way i really just cannot get my head around why poeple do it?

Where I live is an oldy oldy town ( Tenterden), where the changing of a local milkman is BIG news. It's a great riding town btw!! Don't let it fool you! I travel a lot round Kent and London, riding various locations, and have never had any real problems. Placed like Chatham, Isle of Sheppy, Hastings - These places have a reputation of being awful, and I'll go riding there late at night, and never any problems. If any kid or adult says a sarcy remark I ignore it and walk the other way - Not through fear, but common sense. I'd much rather walk away in tact and look a coward than confront and end up on the floor. As a person, I'm not confrontational ( Being a Retail Manager, god know's how I get away with not being!) . The same can be said if I'm out pubbing or clubbing. If I see or sense trouble, i walk away. 9/10 you can't even reason with these people, so there's not point getting involved at the end of the day.

I know tenterden is it? i used to go there every now and again, my uncle and aut live there and its a loverly place (if its the place i am thinking of). There are areas around my way which are ok and others which arent, i maen there are hot spots for the troublesome lads and we all know to avoid them areas, but there are to many of them!

I can totaly understand the jsut wak away thing, like i said previously, i would much rather walk away with a bit of verbal shouted than confront them with a trip to A&E, but now i try to just leave and i get chased.... why?!?!

I cannot wait untill i can move to a nicer more quite area!

I live in Shropshire, telford ain't the nicest of places but it seems alright, my local town of wellington is alright. I know most the 'hard' people as they love taking video of me on their phone... (Because I'm fit init). But I've never had trouble from anyone, all the lads my age wouldn't bother touching me. Not because I'm hard or big, it's like a big happy family. On the other hand Shrewsbury is a right shit hole, lol. Me kev bigman and a few of my mates got chased by 20+ chavs... Was the most fun I've had ever.

Round my area you get the riots every 5 years and then just the usual small stuff. I think i've become used to people fighting and gangs and stuff cause when i'm at uni down in lincoln i'm actually amazed by the lack of police presence! To be honest Bradford is alot safer than it used to be i think, gangs seem to sticking to their own area in my part if town anyway. Even our local hooligan firm the "Ointment" have stopped fighting these days.

I have actually just remembered three lads got stabbed a few weeks ago not far from me. Luckily they all survived.
