Joe Papasnap Maher
Thats silly talkNo its sensible. Seriosly..why would you take out a loan..The thing is dave..how much do u want new kit. When i bought my 10.5..I sold my xbox 360, i sold my bmx, i sold loads of shit on ebay. I put out, to my reward. Its ALOT more satisfying, knowing uve worked for money, as opposed to asking the bank for abit of cash. Do you not agree.( and when i was handing over £400+ quid for my lense... i was actually quite happy, knowing the time and effort i put in to get the money )
Davetrials
thast not f**king effort, selling stuff is just an easy way out like getting a loan, u can only give that lecture when uve worked for somthing.but i do understand what ur saying.i hate saving it makes me shit. Davetrials
well the concept of saving is easy, but actually doing it is to f**king hardi spend spend spend:(
Tony Harrison
I have to agree, having tried both ways. I had a loan to get a BMX and stuff a couple of years ago, and the monthly payments just became so boring after a while. It's paid off now, but I prefer to wait until I've got the money to buy stuff. Luckily my job pays ok, and I also made some money from some photos and a magazine article I helped with, and that paid for most of the kit I bought this year. But now I need to start trying to pay off my credit card (worse idea than a loan - been working on paying it off for too long now...) and saving some money for when 1) I want a mortgage and 2) my car blows up.Me, I'd really like a fisheye, but it's just going to have to wait. charlie >est<
Does anyone use a Gorrila pod? i've heard there awesome to carry around. but I was thinking 'would that stupid thing realy hold up an SLR?'
JonMack
Mike uses one. I'm pretty sure he uses it to mount flash's on, rather than his camera.I would imagine if you got the SLR version it would be strong enough to hold an SLR, as that's what it's designed for
Dan6061
Got my flash this morning (Opteka EF 600DG Super) Sigma copy I guess?I know it's compatible with my 350D, but when I put it on the hot-shoe, and try to take a picture, the flash doesn't go off? There's nothing on the camera's menu about an external flash either...What am I doing wrong? Tony Harrison
Have you flipped the lock switch on the flash just above the hotshoe connector?
Dan6061
Yup.The flash synchronizes with the camera, becaus ehwne I change the camera's aperature, the flash changes too.The camera is pretty low on battery..just noticed.
Dan Clark
Thats the TTL, means the flash automatically adjusts itself so it doesnt over or underexpose photo's.You might be able to over ride it on manual mode, but on my camera I could only set the zoom and power manually, not the aperture. Dan6061
So how do I get it to flash when I take the picture? Got it locked onto the hot shoe, camera is in Manuel, and the flash is set to 'M 1/2' ...?Not working though..The flash zooms with the camera, and also sets the aperature automaticaly on 'TTL' but it still wont work? Cheap flash, you get what pay for It's all on fine.As i've said, the flash zooms when the camera zooms, it changes aperature when the camera changes aperature...It was £105. Not exactly cheap? - Same as a Sigma DG
