Yeah, I had noticed that Charlie <est> had been inactive since he was banned. IPs don't match though.

Anyway, I say give him the benefit of the doubt. If he says he's not going to be a dick then maybe he won't. It's not an amazing start though, is it? I mean insulting two members who have been here since the beginning and telling them what to do? I can't help but think he's probably learnt nothing. Oh well, we'll have to wait and see.

Yes. well done, you have found out who I really am.

Yes. I am Charlie >est< although I apologize for any stupid things that have been said. I have looked at previous posts and I even think 'what a nob' too myself.

I dont see why Jon told everyone, quite immature in my eyes but im not arguing about it.

I wasn't trying to insult them. I'm always told not to chat like that on here.

Back on topic.

Dave, I can get decent results up to 1/1000th of a second with my set so I'm thinking something must be up with yours.

#1. Did you replace the transmitter/reciever batteries as soon as you got them? The ones they supply are "for testing purposes only" and are very close to being empty.

#2. Are your flash batteries fully charged?

#3. I found mine work best when I set my Flash Mode to manual. (Menu> Spanner> CSM/SetUp Menu> Detailed. Then Menu> Pencil> 16. Flash Mode> Manual> Full Power

Let me know if that helps, if not I'll see what else I can do.

It sorta bugs me that Canon's L lenses are f4.0, that would piss me off.

Why is it a problem? I've thought about this for a while - and am investing in the F4 set - and these days it's so easy to bump the ISO up one stop to make up for the lens. Really not an issue to be honest.

Cracking lenses, no pun intended.

Lol I can't count the number of times you've complained at F4 lenses on two hands!

Finally got myself some Tecno lightstands. Arrived 18 hours after placing the order! Was so surprised, anyway I've finally got my wireless kit working. 3 receivers, 1 transmitter, 1/1000th of a second, Centon FG105D on the left and right, Sigma EF-500 DG Super in the middle, Centons were on 35mm, Sigma was on 28mm full power because I just whacked it on manual to take this shot. So happy. Overexposed wall but I dont care.

This was taken ages ago but yeah, it's at 1/1000th :)

On my f3.5 lens I really miss the extra stop to 2.8 sometimes, and having paid so much money for a lens I would hope it would be 2.8.

Obviously they are fantastic lenses with amazing IQ and sharpness, but you would think that being a top of the line lens they would make it a 2.8.
