Mowgli
Hey,am thinking of getting an 07 echo pure, will be running square taper middleburn rs7's, what length does the bottom bracket need to be. I dont want to just get the longest one because i hate it when the cranks are miles from the frame.Regards Moggles

ilikeriding
It also depends upon the postion of the sprocket on your rear wheel, if you want a straight chain line, so sometimes a wider bb is needed as the rear sprocket cannot move any further inwards to accomodate the geo of your frame. balfa
I have a 128mm Sq taper on middleburns (22t) in my 06 Pure. I believe the 07 Pure is the exactly the same as an 06. I don't think you should go any smaller if your running a 22t chainring. If your running 20t or 18t you may be able to run a shorter BB.
