Hello all ,

I would like to change my bike soon but i hesitate between to stock frame : The czar 07 and the Gu 07 .

I have a Coustellier by Koxx , the geo is 1095mm /10 mm / 385 mm .

Does someone have the new czar who can tell me how is it ?

Is the Gu good for tap ?

The Gu’s geo isn’t to extrem ?

Thanks for yours answers .

Jimmy

Ps: Sorry for my english , i'm french.

I have a stock gu and i can tell you that there really isnt anything it does badly. I dont think i will ever be buying another frame because i literally couldnt expect more from a frame than what i get from my gu, if for whatever reason i ever did need a new frame id be going after another GU

you have the 06 gu though, he wants the 07. so there will be a fair difference

i would get the czar if your into taps, rear and front wheel gaps and a generally comfortable ride on most terrains. the white is sexy too.

but the gu will be awesome for sidehops and front wheel gaps and hooks.

THE GUS GEO IS VERY EXTREME, non of the other deng frames have such a high bb it will also feel pretty short, and may be hard to gap due to the unbelieveably short chainstays. (usual is 380, gu is 372)

Nah been on the new one it rides exactly the same, you obviously have not ridden a gu for any length of time otherwise youd know it does everything the same as any other frame its just a matter of giving your self time to adjust to the ride of it

>_< Good luck in learning to ride that thing because the bb height is one of the highest on the market...if not the the highest! how the hell Damon Watson managed to get use to riding that beast in anger in such a short time is amazing dedication to riding a 60+bb.

I was able to quite happily bunnyhop my friends 06 GU long when my friend had it ;) They aren't that hard to get used to.

I would get the 1095 CZAR though to upgrade from my rex..... should i already have a koxx coust though, well.... i know i'd be keeping the coust, gorgeous frames to ride.

i have the hifi 130x15 atm, but i may change it for the higher one, the one atm will probs me too low.

i would love to tell you how it rides, but im not going to ride in the rain yet again, i really cbf'd. in the living room though, it feels nice, but could sit nicer on the back wheel, but this is probably due to the stem...

Im in the same situation like you... but im thinking about on a 20'' czar or gu... I'd rather the czar cause their geometry, but i think the czar is too heavy, it weight around 2170 gr. and the gu 1880gr... i sow on www.hbtrials.com soo... im confused...what do you think?
