El Cristoff
i don't think you can get rid of flat spots mate, you can avoid them by pumping up your tyre a bit more

Broomer
It is possible to slightly reduce the flat spot by tightening certain spokes. depends on the severity of the flat spot.

Muel
Cheers for the replys.i'll have a play around this weekend, and i've learnt my lesson with going for the cheap options. How much up and down movment is there? If it is 2mm or less you can change the spoke tension to pull it out, if not, its new rim time.I'm guessing it is rear btw. On my old XC bike I was doing drop offs and flat spotted it, my dad just loosened all of the spokes off and bent it back. This was a mega weak rim though, it won't work on a trials bike rim. Ash-Kennard
just leave it unless it causing you a problem. if it is, twat it with a hammer before you go and buy a new rim.
