im hungover too :) just about to go to tesco's to get my hangover crash bag which consists of:

2x frigi chocolate brownie milk shake (chief wigam)

1x bag of smarties cookies

1x box of vienesse whirls

1x fruit n fibre

1x apples (disloges the vodka from the teeth)

It's the dehydration that gives you the headache and the feeling tired, so drink plenty. Not just water, as you need electrolytes to absorb the water, so anything with a bit of sugar/salt in it - Orange juice is my tip, it makes you feel healthy too.

I used to sleep upright and i think it drains the alcohol away from your head, and leaves you feeling ok when you wake up.

Nowadays I don't drink so much because of my job, which has burdened me with much responsibility. Therefore I tend to leave me friends to it when they go out drinking willy. And indeed, nilly.

Drink heavy every night for 4 months straight, like, 5 pints a night... you soon get used to it and dont get hangovers :)

Made me laugh. 5 Pints is a startup, move onto shots after that, then double vodka/JD and cokes after that.

Bit more expensive but meh, 5 pints is nothing... its like a couple of cans while waiting for the mrs to get ready then 30 minutes at the pub.

As been said, try to be as active as you can, even if it feels shit. Activities to avoid are operating heavy machines and shoe shopping, as leaning over makes me feel even worse.

Also, eat and drink a shitload of everything. In my experience, it really doesn't matter much. Fatty and salty works well, but just make sure you eat LOADS and drink LOADS you'll be fine.

It is quite a lot every day though! As in about 90 units a week when the maximum is 21. It's enough to do yourself a lot of damage, anyway.

Once it's there it's there...

I can guarantee i don't get one in the first place though, by drinking 2 litres of water before going to sleep. It's hard to do, but you wake up fresh as a daisy. I also, as a rule, drink tropicana the next day, always.
