Gavyn.
I need word 2007 or any version of word for that matter for my pc but I can't afford it because I don't have a job (ironically I need it to help me write a cv).I heard there was a sort of copy of word going about which was free exactyly the same as word but with a different name. does anyone know if it exists? and where i could get it from if it does?also is it legal? Extreme_biker0
The digital way is to use Open Office; all the features of MS Word (nearly), just free. The analogue way is to write it by hand and show your potential employer what neat handwriting and un-aided good spelling you have. Orgun_Donor
I use office 2007 at work, and Open Office 2 at home. Reason i choose Open office at home is cause its miles better!

Gavyn.
well i never really got done it was in my bag when the police searched me, and they were just looking for anything they could do me for. in the end the copper just took it and snapped it and told me they'd be round to check my pc for anything else that i shouldn't have, needless to say, they never came but i just don't want to risk it. Gavyn.
it's an option, but it doesn't have a spell checker and as you can probbably tell I need one!
tank_rider
i know there was an online fully functional version of word 2007 on the microsoft site for a while, not sure if it's still there, might be worth a look though. As an alternative though open office is pretty hot and can do most things and some word can't. For instance if your writing a CV and spend time getting the layout looking right then it's best to convert it to a PDF as it locks everything down and stops someone opening the file in their version/setup of word and messing up all your hard work. I'm pretty sure open office has a pdf converter built in so theres a bonus right there

Hendrix
Harsh, i'd be f**ked if i got caught.Ditto. Though I wouldn't have told them what was on the disk...and if it did have POTC3 written on it. I'd say it was the trailer which I was using at media classes in college. I was studying it! Kapeesh ? Gavyn.
well then you'd have been delt with officially just for being cheeky.I didn't tell them, it was written on the front of the disk and they said they were going to take me to the station and play the dvd unless i told them what was on it. then they would have gone on my pc and realised i had 400 gb of stuff i shouldnt have on it, i could have lost my pc and got a very hefty fine or i could have told the truth let them smash the disk and gone home a burnt another. There's no point in argueing with them when all the proof they need to properly do me over was in there hands. Just tell the truth then you'll get as much discount off your punishment as is possible.
