joe b
What punishment are you refering to?That Wayne will now, after whatever he said, no longer be able to ride in the BIU competitions or those run under ACU ruling. My punnishment will/seems to be a ban from the BIU and ACU this will/does affect my "World" Masters status, i have no control over the matter as i will not deny stating what i did, i put it as it was my "opinion" of the matter. joe b
That was kinda the point I was getting at...Haha, 1:15am . Tiredness kills.Damn skim-reading.But, still, if they are to decide that it is appropriate to ban Wayne from BIU and ACU organised/affiliated events then i think a considerable amount of thought should go into my aforementioned point - 'If a higher status rider was to do the same as Wayne, would they're punishment be equal, too?'Cheers,Joe. rugbyman
nothing really to add to this thread that hasn't already been said. you can churn out all the quotes or insults you like, none of it will help. whilst i agree that having repercussions over something posted on a forum may be harsh, i do believe a member on here (i know who, and most of you probably do, but i won't say anyway) lost their job for taking part in stuff on the internet. some people take things seriously.now, i would also like to point out that you've all bandwagoned without a full set of facts and another side to the story. so just think before you dish out the nasties.I believe most people do know the facts! I agree that it is wrong for people to go on a forum and slag off someone that Wayne is trying to apologize to, in a way I find it ironic! I have been helping Wayne, trying to mediate between him and the ukbiketrial committee. It is true that he hasn’t been banned as yet but it is in the balance. The chairman of the committee asked me to inform Wayne that prior to any meetings taking place it would be in Wayne’s best interests to apologize to Libor in writing and, in addition, make a public apology on Trials-Forum. I advised Wayne to write a letter of apology to Libor, but suggested that a public Forum apology wasn’t necessarily in every ones best interest, but that was what the Chairman wanted. After a long chat with Wayne he said he wanted to do all he could to avoid losing his world Master status (because that’s what is really at stake) and made his Forum apology as requested. Unfortunately I think it’s turned round to bite either Wayne or the committee, I am not sure which, but it must be recognized that Wayne was asked to post on the Forum by the Chairman of the body that potentially seeks to reprimand him. I hope for his sake the powers that be see that Wayne’s post was made with good intentions and in an effort to comply, not to stir up more trouble. Someone said how important it is to have rules and I agree it’s just a little annoying that sometimes new ones can be made up or altered to suit a committee’s intentions. For example in 2005 at the EBU championships, a prominent French rider was not allowed to ride because his license did not resemble a BIU license, however it was the same license that every other French rider had ridden every other BIU comp with and the license presented by the rider when signing on at World events, but for some reason those in charge at the event chose to exclude him.I would urge that we all just wait now and see what happens at the meeting. If things do go wrong for Wayne I do know 1 thing, there will be a cheap air ticket for sale on EBay to Japan Edited June 26, 2007 by rugbyman

There is no way he put that up to 'stir up more trouble'. It's like Bongo said lol. Let's hope the committee find the same thing.
Gavyn.
To be fair though, why couldn't he have written a letter of apology to this guy. Thats what I would have done along with many others. Why would the chairman want him to post on the forum when it's quite obvious what would happen, unless the commitee are going to make an example of him. Good luck wayne hope they make the right decision and see that your a good benifit to the sport. Gavyn
BONGO
Supercycles had to work f**king hard to get their reputation and integrity back after they started pumping out trials stuff back nearer the millennium. They made stuff that broke, and their negative reputation f**ked them up royally for the next few years.lol, that possibly had a bit to do with me! Onza had the same thing at the same time for the same reasons. Which was very much tied in with the whole supercycles thing.Waynes a nice shmallboy who's not out to get anyone. He's probably got enough on his plate without all this stress, what with his heap of a car!!! Hope it works out as he's a nice lad. (you are wayne, i love you)I can tell a policeman to get f**ked. It's just that i word it so that he doesn't realise that's what he's being told. This is what's happened here really. The point was maybe got across in the wrong way, but waynes not out to get anyone, hes just said something when he felt strong about something.
