BONGO
Trials competion, the whole thing, is an embarresment!Trials, as most know it, riding streets having a laugh and filming, isn't.I always compare it to bmx. There is no cheating, and much better attitudes, and guess what...1000's less rules.Would i f**k apologise.

There is no cheating, and much better attitudes, and guess what...1000's less rules.Would i f**k apologise.i agree.everyone high up the chain of bike trials are such a bunch of bigots. real trials for me is on the streets having a laugh, the people who apparently do so much for the sport are the ones that make it look tedious and self absorbed. you have to kiss arse to get to the inner circle and this goes to show one 'mistake' and you're kicked out.wayne is a sound guy and is a good example of what trials should be about, if anything, by banning him they are doing themselves and their image no favours at all.organised trials is taken so seriously it's become a joke. Token
Dear oh dear... I really can't see how some people justify their actions. It's absolute lunacy.
Egg Fried Rice
Ah that really sucks, damn i feel so pissed off. Such a shame you got banned. This all seems so serious and childish.JK
matt rushton
I have to say Wayne that it is bad and you don't really deserve it. But I think making this topic doesn't really help. I know its supposed to be an apolopgy, but now other members are slaging him off in a topic that you made, and the reason they are doing this is because of what he has done.Matt Rushton
Simpson
Trials is about having fun out on your bike, and this forum is for people to share their oppinons, its f**king stupid that nowadays everything is becombing "liable" and all this bullshit. If its your opionon you are totally free to express it even if it is some high up boss. Lucky i dont do comps as i dont know that i could handle a "society" that is so f**king temprimental and stupid! if they are going to BAN you from riding for expressing you oppinion its like the dark ages of cloak and dagger..... real sorry man, i wouldn't be appologising though, i mean although i don't know what you said but whatever you said shouldn't have an impact on how many years you have trained and worked and enjoyed riding. Becuase when you look back all your remember is how some twats banned youAnd you always the member who enjoys helping childern with progression of there riding and providing so many possitive's to the progression of the sport, you are a role model to all younger riders out there and always have a great attitude, so i really do hope that the board has an ounce of common sence and lets you ride worlds at the same level without an effect to you All the best man Edited June 21, 2007 by Simpson
Walleee
wayne hasn't been banned at all (yet), read the thread. That's half the problem on here, people don't read what's being said at all, and the same shit is asked over and over. Simpson
But I think making this topic doesn't really help.I think it does 5,000 riders being able to tell 1 board how f**ked up it is that 1 "stupid" post could ruin what he lives for
robster
wow trials forum has tunred into the soviet union :-S opinons get expressed its tuff if they dont like it they shouldnt ban one of britans best riders for expressing his views and if they ban waynio we should start a new group of competitions run to rider ideals not a "committie" .Done that already. They run the Nationals i.e. Blackpool, Brimmham, Bracken, Addingham and various other well attended events.JP
Tomm
So bluntly, you've been screwed for being on the wrong side of the fence?Mmmm, if Tupman Sr and co aren't VERY careful, that's exactly what it will look like...I agree with Bongo, the organisation of trials in the UK is a complete mess and it's ridiculous. This sort of thing really doesn't help anyone.

THE trials commentator
this is just utter stupidity for it even to get that far in the first place.comment are made about people every day!theres no need for a commitee to be involved, and what i wanna know,is when did they go Pete Wright on everyone? (for those that remember, everything you said,he would sue you for). The way i see it,is if a sport as big as motocross doesnt have this much of a response from peoples comments etc,why the hell does trials need to?Wayne, all the best mate, and i hope they make the right decision.Carl
Muel
So why doesn't Vincent Hermance get banned for having a paddy and generally being gay? Or so I amtols, I have never actually seen anything in print.
PaRtZ
So why doesn't Vincent Hermance get banned for having a paddy and generally being gay?He doesn't have a paddy most of the world class riders don't because they know that everyone is watching them. Besides if vincent cant sidehop 60" and he gets pissed off, its a bit different then saying "Whoever organises these comps is a knob" (not saying you said that wayne )Trials competion, the whole thing, is an embarresment!Trials, as most know it, riding streets having a laugh and filming, isn't.In all honesty jon, I agree, trials to me IS about having a laugh, but a lot of people in my opinion take it too seriously. After riding a few comps, I'm starting to realise that Im just not a comp person. The nerves get to me too much and I cant do basic things in a section. At brimham, whilst the award ceremony was taking place we rode one of the sections outside of timings, observers and rules and it wa so good. I was actually enjoying doing the expert routeSo yeah Wayne, I wouldn't worry too much to be honest. Everyone associated with comps knows that youre not a callous person so I'd imagine youd get a helluva bollocking but you wont be banned. I think that would be taking the piss really
Tall_Rob
I'm slightly confussed by the matter.Aren't people entitled to their opinions? Was the remark personal or aimed directly at this man?If yes, can he justify his actions for this hearing as 'non-personal revenge'? (really bad grammar)If you kicked up a fuss on the day of an event and caused a scene or set a bad role model (such as a footballer arguing with a ref or fighting) then i could understand the hearing or fine. But footballers don't get punished for all their antics off the pitch, such as fighting, opinions. This is indeed a weird situation. As someone mentioned before 'it's a small community' so word gets around and people do take sides with power.I hope all goes well for you Wayne and that they realise that this guy is over reacting. Good luck for the hearing.Fingers crossed for a pardon x Edited June 21, 2007 by Tall_Rob
Adrian
wait.. can i just get something strait here..... BONGO
hehehe, this thread is awesome. Tomm
I think people need to calm down (and stop insulting the guy even more - that's not going to help). I am pretty sure no-one here knows the whole story, so shouldn't jump to any conclusions - and certainly shouldn't insult more people about this. robster
It is not libor that is over acting. If i am correct, and I may well not be, he said to the bike trial people "sort it out" i think, and again I may be wrong that this committee have made the decision. I feel it is the wrong one, but I am a good friend of Wayne and I know what a complete "gob shite" he can be at times, but thats Waynio all over he speaks and then thinks, he is young, let it go we all say things that could be re-worded. Rob and I would not (and many others) be riding and learning so much if we hadn't have got mixed up with Wayne. I am 36 and just got back in at 10.00 been out all night on mi bike,He pushes and inspires people to improve, look at Chris Boyes. What a star he is turning out to be.It will be a shame if Wayne doesn't go to the worlds, because I guess the way he is training at the mo he would bring a few very needed points to the team. Anyhow we have not been sent Robbie's BIU yet and I have not upset anyone, maybe it's an oversight on Wayne's as well as Robs and they have been lost in the terrible post.I am sure the correct decision will be reached before too long, and all this playground banter can be put behind us and we can all enjoy riding again.............IF ONLY EH !!!!I don't even know why I posted this but I just don't get it anymore, I should keep out of all this. N.Wood
If i said what i felt about my boss/certain other authority figures at times, I'm sure i'd be fired/worse.Gotta learn the art of tact. If they're higher up in the chain than you, then if you have to be an arselicker, do it.If you have a problem with them, talk to them DIRECTLY or keep it to yourself and get over it.Sorry you've had problems with the competitions.
