Fixed Pants™
I wouldn't use them anymore, they may be forced to track the users of the search sites, which means you might end up getting caught.
UrbanPoet
I wouldn't use them anymore, they may be forced to track the users of the search sites, which means you might end up getting caught. However, the risks of a casual user being taken to court are negligible. It's just a bullshit scare story. As for viruses, its highly unlikely you'll get one if you use reputable torrent indexing sites. I've never had a virus from a torrent. poopipe
Did kazaa get raped?in a wordyestorrents are like all the other stealing methods only theyre generally safer cos people have to put work into seeding the torrents. virus check everything before you run it - you CANNOT get a virus unless you run the file with the virus in (disclaimer - doesn't count if something vile like IE runs the file for you)you're much better off with torrent stuff than filty shit like limewire and kazaa cos the clients aren't generally infested with trojans and other nasty shit. Fixed Pants™
Hell yeah...I'll send you some on msn?Oh yeah, speaking of porn n stuff, i learnt how to hide files (porn) in pics. Opens like a normal pic, edits like a normal pic, but when the file extension is right, it will open up and show me the porn0z.
anzo
I've heard of about 5 cases or so in the past 5 years or so...And I can pretty much promise that those caught were the ones selling copied DVD's on a massive scale, and so seized their PC and stuff. Although 'threats' of action are old news in the media, its in the papers about every week.DVD's are stupidly priced for such small items and usually shit films, is it any wonder people download them? I'll only buy a DVD if its completely worth it...I see downloading as a 'preview', if its good I'll make the effort to buy it, which is what producers should be doing in the first place. A lot of the time though, i don't :$.i don't download many though, probably 2 films every 2-3 weeks?
