poopipe
no idea..I'd be a bit nervous of bending your axles every 20 minutes but it ought to be a right laugh
Has anyone seen my shoe?
Wasnt it Matt Barlow who semi came up with the idea?Might be worth speaking to him (mintsause on here)
PaRtZ
yeah matt was running them for a bit and then he took them off, presumably cos of the axle thingMaybe you could just weld them onto the frame instead of sticking them on the axle? NVWOCI WVS
or instead of bolting them onto the axel/welding them to the frame you could have them mounts that the cheap GT bmx forks have...theyre like plates that have holes to bolt the peg on.im crap at explaining but someone else will know what i mean! guineasmithpig
Thanks but i want to know if its a good thing to do and wanted to know if any one had one on here. It's a good thing to do if you wanna try moves using pegs fairly obvious really. And if people have used them, I'm sure it'll only be one or two, and there riding style maybe totally different to yours. If you fancy it and have a decent amount of ideas and commitment, just go for it. If it's a half-arsed idea of what might look cooler than normal trials, then forget it, you'll just look like a pleb. Personally, I'd love to give it a go. I couldn't ride BMX for sh!t, but nailed nearly every grind going with a couple of weeks on the thing. I reckon a short streety bike with a 14mm axle Profile (custom frame/dropouts of course) would work well. Unfortunately I don't have the money for such a project though, so it's just a pipe dream for now.Smithy
Tommy d
A guy in Kent called Josh used to have one... I can't remember his surname though and I'm pretty sure he doesn't ride any more. I think it was a really short 24" if that helps, just one peg on the back.

poopipe
or instead of a profile you could run a hub that costs half as much, does exactly the same job and has a stronger axle.
RobinJI
or instead of a profile you could run a hub that costs half as much, does exactly the same job and has a stronger axle.Which would be?
CurtisRider
yeah but pooey, don't forget this is for trials too, and profiles are highly rated for their trialsability, hence the recomendation
guineasmithpig
hmmmm, yeah, seen a couple of cheaper bmx cassette hubs fall apart (Eastern, and another i forget the name of). There's always the option of a screw on freewheel I guess. But as mentioned, Profiles are proven for trials, light, and come in pretty colours Which other's would you suggest, out of interest? And are the T24 street bike geo, or trials bike geo, or made to order? Personally never really liked the look of any of the Curtis bikes. Dunno why!? That one Johnny Jones has posted up looks the nuts though!Smithy
