The Duck
Been there, done that and balls'd it up. Basically I'd send it to tarty because the chances of doing it right, are next to none.

NVWOCI WVS
How?! Do tell...mark two holes opposite eachother on one flange of the hub and on the other flange mark two oposite holes but rotated 90degrees relative to the other flange if you understand what i mean? then just build it as normal skipping out these holes!!it's not too much of a problem when the hub has more holes, it's worse the other way round as the tension isn't spread evenly around the rim.i'm the wheelbuilder at the bike shop where i work, and i've come across plenty of builds like this! Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Think of the rim as a clock.Miss out the 12 o clock hole, 3 o clock hole, 6 o clock hole and the 9 o clock hole.
Tony Harrison
This is stupid, and it'll end up a naff wheel whoever builds it.Why not get hold of a rim with 36 holes? In the long run it'll be a lot better...
