Alan
www.myspace.com/hightempodnbTwo of my mates, used this program to make those songs, that and Sony ACID Pro (insert whatever number it is here).... Looked rather complicated but they seemed to be getting on fine, took about 8 hours to make a song about 3/4 of the way through, add and ask them for more info Alan. xxxI'm not sure, but i think you have get sent or download different beats and that and then put them together, not 100% though. I know that's what you have to do for Sony ACID Pro though, i deleted both of these programs from my computer yesterday as they was rinsing my memory, Sony made my computer laggggggggggggggggg and i didn't try out Reason for some reason. Luke Rainbird
Awesome program, would highly recommend it.Used it a lot last year, not so much recently though...From the first time you use it, you start picking stiff up, but are able to throw together some decent sounding stuff with minimal knowledgeObviously a bit of experience with the equipment and a bit of musical knowledge go a long way with it too though, but for someone such as yourself Mike, I'd say this was a must have for you. With so many free refils etc available on the net too, there's no end to what you can do with it (ok, well it can;t make a cup of tea, but short of that...!)Go for it! Dan Clark
It has fantastic sounds in it, really good and theres just about everything you need. However the interface for inputting midi, mixing it and layering etc is shocking, especially compared to Cubase and other more professional MIDI programs.I rewire it to Cubase when I want to use it, I really cannot stand the step time editor and everything else. poopipe
i havent used it for a few years (about 5 thinking about it) . it definitely sounded good but it was like all the other hardware emulator type programs in terms of how easy it was to use - ie. no easier than the real thing. i tended to just use it for generating lovely noises which i then stuck together in other software that had a sensible sequencer.that was probably V1 though - i don't doubt they've improved matters a bit since then
GaZaa
It's as easy or as hard as you want to make it for yourself. If you want to complicate matters you can have a go at combining loads of synth sounds and samples together with everything possible or you could just use it as a soft synth and play around with its whacky bits. It's a cracking piece of kit and especially interesting when used with ReCycle for putting your own audio samples and whatever else in.It's also much cheaper than filling a room with Moogs and old analogue jobbies Edited June 18, 2007 by murga123

MadManMike
Shame about the stupid price tags on all music software Surely they could knock it out cheaper than this!
Luke Rainbird
Shame about the stupid price tags on all music software Surely they could knock it out cheaper than this!If it's any use, I can 'lend' you a copy, though I know it's not idealIf it helps, it's not so much a copy I've acquired "illegally", but a copy I made when I had the original disc... poopipe
Not even Fatpants could help me out! yeah - V1 was a wanker to crack, you had to have the samples CD in the drive to run it at all. wonder if i've still got it lying around.as for pricing - my experience in the industry has shown that the price of software is largely determined by how much the marketing department reckon they can get for it, it has cock all to do with the cost of producing the software.
