JoNnY__Mc
Tried my skf and the shell as too long to fit the ko, too long to even be spacered out because it would only screw in about 4 threads each side. Will I be able to use a truvative bb with 68mm shell and 116 length axle with a 18t fixed cog on the front without the cog catching on the frame? (I'm not running ffw)
King C
Is it a new frame pal? If it is then it might be where they've sprayed the frame and the paint has slightly coated the bb threads. Thats what happened on my old zona. I had a massive scaffold pole on it aswell but it was still a bitch to get in. Its perfectly fine now though. That might be the problem. Also can I sell the eno on as you've seem to have got yourself a nice free hub. It can screw all the way in from both sides smooth. It's just literally TOO bigger shell, its about 1/1.5 cm too big.
King C
Even brushed frames have a layer of laquer over them. When you say the shell is too big do you mean the cups are too long or the actual bb is too long. Im assuming you mean the cups are too long. If you really have to you could cut the cups down so they are shorter. If not and the actuall bottom bracket is too long then thats really wierd. Even if its a 73mm bb in a 68mm frame then the gap shouldnt be as much as you say. Edited June 16, 2007 by kcchan
