Netherking
hey all the other bits i've seen on tarty by atomz are stupidly expensive and this makes me think they are kinda made for competions?? and i really don't want that, i need something pretty strong as i'm still learning. only wanted this rim for its colour cheers harry
King C
If they do turn out to be weak then just get something strong like an Echo 07 rim and spray it.
Greetings
Judging by it's weight it's not going to be weak. It probably weighs over 800g which is already enough to make a structurally weak rim strong. I wouldn't go by the weights shown on Tartybikes, some of them are bollocks. Greetings
Yeah? Which ones?I'm not disputing your claim, just interested Try-All rear rim, mine weighed over 800g, it's about 700 on their website, Eagle Claw bashplate is 195g with bolts and not 166g. The Monty freewheel is also heavier than stated on the website. There's quite a few of these "mistakes", don't remember all of them. And before you ask, my scales are fine Out of the ones I checked, they got the Hognesium pedals, Tensile craks and bash right.
AdamR28
All the weights on our site are taken on a set of digital scales, the same set for all products. We've had Try-All rear rims down to 687g before and up to 750+, they do vary. Monty freewheel is definitely correct. I think that may be a typo on the Monty bashplate, will check tomorrow (I think that weight will be plus bolts). Not sure why you get different weights Inur. I'll weigh a litre of water tomorrow and check our scales. As for rims, the Atomz ones are great, but if you're after super strength then Echo is the way to go. Don't know where i got that freewheel mistake thing from. Weighed 10 freewheels today and they came out 1786g so it's pretty much 179g for one.Funny thing with the rims though. Koxx is French, maybe that explains it.
