  1. I'm about ot transfer the Clifford Concept 50 car alarm to my new car... It's like spaghetti junction so I'd like a wiring diagram. Does anyone know where I can get one? I've looked on Cliffords site and there's only the instruction manual Goggling reveals out of date links from a couple of years ago. Can someone suggest a car security forum? Thanks Jon
  2. Add CWShredder to that list... It refreshes parts the above don't reach. Jon
  3. I broke my Fattys at the top of the left leg. As for replacements... I've not bought new forks for ages now... Pashley's do me fine, but I think you're running a disc? Jon
  4. Try Yell.com/co.uk My AM Classic 140's bearings are starting to get worn after 2 years which isn't bad. I suspect the 68g hub isn't great for anything but road. If you want a light front hub then look out for a Hope Ultra-Lightweight. It's very similar to the AM Classic but has a complete axle and the bearings last a lot longer. I've replaced mine twice in around 4 years. Jon
  5. I'm not sure for the mp3 player... but for getting it to work in the car I've found tape adapters aren't all that brilliant - they're quite hissy. I used to use a radio adapter - you plug it into the cigarette lighter (for power) and into the headphone jack and tune the radio to 88.1Mhz and it comes through okay. Ideally you want a stereo with an auxillary input, but these are relatively rare and/or expensive. Jon

I lent Tarty's lady my smegamo at DJ's funeral which had an ACS Z-Mag wheel on the front at the time. They're so flexy Jon
  7. I think it's supposed to need about 5 seconds... it's pretty easy to be accurate on a motor way. Jon
  8. I need to get me a ride in a police get :( They have theirs calibrated very accurately. Jon
  9. Have dug about a bit more. Seems like GPS is accurate to 0.1mph if you're driving at the same speed in the same direction for a few seconds. It's illegal for a car speedo to underestimate the speed, it has to be within 0-10% over. Fords are apparently particularly shite for this. I think the software has a function to display the speed in large letters (not that I need it) when you exceed the 'safety speed' The default is 124mph :( What's a GPS Speedo when it's at home? I can't see it giving any different readings to a normal GPS system. Jon
  10. Yeah I thought that, so I checked it out in 4 other cars (All different ages/makes/models) At least I know the whole thing is crap for speed and it's not just mine. Jon
  11. Ta. Any ideas why? My only thoughts are it doesn't account for height so being around 150m higher than sea level which should make a difference of 2.5%. I'm sure the M6 is lower than this anyway which is where I noticed it. Jon
  12. I've got an ipaq 3360 with a Fortuna Clip On Bluetooth GPS which works very nicely with TomTom Navigator 3. At low speeds, the speed readout is pretty accurate - it ties up with the car speedo. At higher speeds it reads lower than the real speed - more than 10% out at 70mph. I've checked it in several cars so it's not that the speedo's are off. Has anyone else got a GPS system? How accurate is the speed reading? Jon
  13. 10 too. i don't care for baseball. Jon
  14. VNC is pretty good for that sort of thing. You could just buy a monitor... they're not expensive for a 15" CRT. Jon
  15. Does rather look that way. Give Hope a bell. Jon
  16. They were twisted before the disc mount went on. Jon
  17. The 952's need a 952 or 950 BB. They come in 112ish and 116mm spindles I think. I have the 116mm 950 BB on my XC bike since they're rebuildable. Can't fault the cranks, just the annoying 4 arm BCD's of the normal rings. Running 5 arm CD now. Has anyone got pics of the Leeson bash? I half fancy sticking the XTR's on my ET now. Jon
  18. This film? What site resides at the IP 64.81.49.134? Jon
  19. Metro 1.1 - 37mpg Metro 1.4 Gti - around 30mpg Jon
  20. Just noticed the BB Shell. Is that a 100mm Shell? How does it feel compared to a 'normal' shell. Any problems with chainlines etc..? Jon
  21. Half way. After he's reached half-way, he's now running out of the woods... Question: How many noble gases are there? Jon
  22. You big pimp. I bet that rides fantastically. Watch the nokon cables though - they look great now, but in 3 months time the plating on them will fall off (Y) Jon
  23. There's still only a limited amount of thread on the spokes... If you're considering cutting and re-rolling the spokes, you should just buy new ones. In the past as an extreme measure I've used a snowflake pattern. Each twist takes about 2mm off the spokes. Jon
  24. Damn. I was so looking forward to seeing where the camera locations that have 'caught me' are... and whether my PDA is accurate in warning me. Jon
