  1. I twisted my Lite-3... but I know many people who ran them with no problems. I've been running Art stems (linkage) for years with few problems. Not sure the 88mm will be short enough for you though. Edit: CRC don't have them anymore... try the wooly hat shop? Jon
  2. Thanks Ed. I'm asking £32 posted. Link to topic here
  3. I would have thought the Knifens would be stronger and more suited to park/DJ use. They're 1/2 a pound heavier, but you pays your money and takes your choice... Jon

    Uci?

International Cycle Union, except it's not english: Union Cycliste Internationale http://www.uci.ch/
  5. Got a quote of £40 to repair/open end gusset the offending tube :) It'll need respraying afterwards though I think Mitch's is beyond repair though (Y) Jon
  6. SKF also founded Volvo. Better bearings (Y) I'm in need of a new BB. Thanks Waynio. I presume they'll be available through Pace stockists? Jon
  7. Mr Thornton. I'm back in Liverpool again, and up for evening rides :D I should be there on friday although it's a close call between riding and a table top rally in Derby on thursday evening. Right now I'm leaning towards the ride (Y) Jon
  8. Is the ride still on for Friday? I'm up for it. Weather forecast is 20 degrees, with some cloud. Jon
  9. Can you front hop consistantly and recover from moving too far forwards/backwards/sideways? I can't really 360 front hop unless it's mostly a 360 endo, but I'm sure if I tried could then it'd be the correction hops that made the difference. Jon
  10. That's what I've been doing for years. Has anyone who's replaced the bolt with either sort of bodge had problems with other parts breaking here? EDIT: There's a red line on there... you just can't see it on the thumbnail. Jon
  11. That just screams Chris Cunningham to me... Is anyone else a fan? Jon Edit: What a guess...
  12. http://www.cel-direct.com/ are pretty cheap. If you're after something specific then try ebay? I paid around £30 less than anywhere else I found for some JL 6*9's Jon
  13. Bollocks to that. You use the pure and stats parts of A-Level Maths as well as the mechanics for pretty much any science based degree. Jon
  14. I'm going OT now but... Are the Shimano ones all sealed now? I guess this is to stop user servicing to you have to buy a new one when it wears out... Does anyone know of an ISIS BB using this system? All the ones I've looked at have been standard single/double cartridge bearings. Jon
  15. Looks very similar to my M950 XTR Bottom bracket. I've had no problems with that, although they're on an xc bike so probably under less strain. Jon

    You big tart. Very nice.
  17. Sadly that's about 3x the speed of light... Special Relativity anyone? Jon
  18. Are you talking about the XTR shifters that piggy-back onto an XTR shifter? I'm not sure they're functional without the original shifter in place... You can use Ultegra (8S) or Dura-Ace(9S) bar end shifters on a normal handlebar as thumb shifters if you make a mount - I used an old 6 speed thumb shifter to make my mounts. Edd Potts (Dave85) has machined a mount for one too. Jon
  19. Incest... the game for all the family. That's pretty messed up. Jon
  20. Does it make a high pitched squealing noise? There's a chance the pads are contaminated with oil/grease. Could try cleaning rotor and sanding off top layer of pads and then bedding it in again, but I'd guess it really needs some new pads. Jon
  21. I came across this on a clients PC about a month ago. The connection was fine for the first few seconds after the pc was turned on/connection repaired. Tried all these things: Adware Viruses Winsock Network Drivers Network Protocols Different Browsers In the end we just had to reinstall... Might be worth running the latest versions of the following: Spybot Adaware SE CWShredder Trend Systemclean Jon
  22. It seals the bleed port on the lever - don't see why a Magura one wouldn't work as long as it's the same thread. Alternatively pop down to your LBS and ask them for a 3/32" BB and a normal grub screw. Jon
  23. I need to contact Rochford Cameron from Cumbria who is buying some parts from me. I don't know his username on here and I'm away from my PC at the moment so don't have access to my MSN chat log (or MSN) Can he or someone who knows him reply here or PM me his username? Thanks Jon
