Who says that? I'm hoping to do some comps on my 24" Jon
  2. Yes they have snapped. That doesn't mean they're not strong. There are very few cranks out there that haven't been snapped by someone. Middleburns or Tensiles are a pretty firm bet Jon
  3. Depends what sort of car you're on about. A Road Rally Car? Or a WRC spec car? Generally it'll be the exhaust, induction and gearbox noise. I love the sound of a MkII escort with a nice straight cut box One day.... Jon
  4. That's easier It's (relatively) easy to explain how the colour red is seen (in terms of wavelength) Taste/Smell are tricker to quantify in the same way. Jon
  5. I didn't find knowing the value of pi that useful. Generally if I dealt with it, it'd be in a theoretical equation in which case it was acceptable to have pi as a factor in the answer (making it a lot neater and easier to read/deal with) or when being applied to a physical situation, there were other factors with tolerances on them which negated any need for pi to be written to more than 4 decimal places. (just my 2p) Jon
  6. Generally to 'measure' something you also need a blank and a control as a reference. Water is normally a 'blank' so it's difficult to describe it. Can you describe the taste of anything? Jon

What's wrong with a 24" UCI style bike? Who's to say the zoot is that? Have you ridden a 24" bike setup for natural? I wouldn't class the Zoot as long (although I've not ridden one yet) I cope with natural just as well on my 24" as I did on a mod or stock. Jon
  8. A funny chef called Chris... except your name is Matt 6/10 Jon
  9. Could be a Rich Johnson video? Or Morley perhaps? Jon
  10. Is 'immigration evasion' the act of staying within your native country? I'm from the UK and I ride in the UK. I've ridden in Europe and America too. I've met a fair few riders from lots of different countries. All in all they've all been good experiences. Jon
  11. I've looked about for a button.. but I don't think we can the momnet. Waiting for the patch/hack to be put in by Tom/Danny. Jon
  12. Because he's no longer a mod... He was a Senior before he was a mod. I bet I get beaten to this! Jon
  13. My contract is due for renewal and I want to squeeze as much out of O2 as I can. At present I'm paying £20 a month for a £25 a month tariff. I want to change to a £30 a month tariff, but pay as little as possible. I think they've offered me this for £20 a month which isn't bad. In addition to that they've offered me £100 credit on my account too. I want an XDA Exec to replace my PDA, but they want at least £150 for it. I know it's not a bad deal, but I'm feeling tight fisted. Has anyone had any luck getting handsets cheaper? What's the best way to go about it? Ta Jon
  14. I'm in Derby this weekend, so probably riding Bracken tomorrow. If not I'll come to Warrington on my way home. Ta Jon
  15. I'm going to be living in Chester for the next 3-4 weeks. Any riders there? Ta Jon
  16. Possibly Moi. Will PM you my mobby number. Jon
  17. I love how you label it as a 'long' bike. I think it's a great idea to produce a frame/bike like this to give the consumer more choice. Jon
  18. I ran a 38mm rim when I had it and the cylinders were spaced out quite wide. Clive built it to be able to run a 521 or a DX32 when he positioned the mounts. How wide is the doublewide? I'd guess you'd need to run worn down pads or move the mounts - Give Clive a call, I'm sure he'd move them out for you. Jon
  19. It was Doric/Autodirect. I'm with swiftcover now - used confused.com to find the best price. I probably could have got it down more if it'd searched more, but I don't have the time. Jon
  20. I've just renewed my policy and changed insurers as my old company wanted more than my original quote despite having a years no claims bonus. The new company need proof of my no claims entitlement. How do I get it? Obviously I'll phone my old insurer, but they're shut now and I'm after an answer. Ta muchly, Jon
