  1. 2.5's do fit, but 2.7's may not...
  2. Both those vid's were emense... I want more!! :D
  3. Is it jus coincidence you dont need a chain tensioner?? The 5mm allen bolt QR things are really good, i have them on my leeson, and they look sleak, and can't get knocked :P Get some when Clive has them in :D Lovely machine :P
  4. Yes miles, you told me that my bearing was going to shatter didn't you... It was probably a manufacturing fault with the bearing, also known as a 1 off... could happen to anything :D
  5. That was when the hub as all fine and dandy, but he had a REALLY bad wheel build, which twisted when he put power down... I would go for 2.35 myself :P" (just to be different)
  6. Go for onza shin digs then, they are tough, strong and offer great grip! The cage pedals in that link will not last you very long atall :P
  7. Looks alright, Why are the bridge hoses on your brakes so long? :P
  8. Think he means a drilled koxx 20" rim :)
  9. Do you ride 24/7 or do you just give up on a tire at the first sign of wear?? If its the second option, i wouldnt complain to a couple being sent my way after you have used them (Y)"
  10. This may sound dumb, but where would i find a bearing supplier? I assume general hardware stores won't have the right sort of thing?! (Y) Cheers for all the help (Y)
  11. Yea, that is what has happened, it literally shattered. Can somebody please help me out with how to find out exactly what bearing i need to purchase? I guess i need the size, but is there anything else i should no before i go and buy crap? (Y)
  12. Do you ride street or natural? If you ride street, i would say 60a, if you ride natural, then a 42a would be better (Y)
  13. I use isis, and i really couldn't care less. I ride other peoples bikes which have square taper, and i don't notice any difference atall. The only advantage i have found is that i hav't bent my isis bb, which is somthing i used to have problems with on square taper bb's. At the end of the day, if you have never had a problem with square bb's, stick to what you no (Y)
  14. If you ever saw my adjustable spanners, you wouldnt be saying there is more grease on your fingers :) :)"
  15. Hmmn, that sure aint right. lol. Yea, i used the SEARCH function to find this topic, as i didnt see the point of starting a new thread saying "my hub broked". I still really like the hubs, and i'm hoping that this is just a 1 off problem, which as we no, could happen to anything.
  16. Well i said i would post if i had any problems, so here i am. I have just got back from a ride, where i was doing alot of taps to back wheel, and i tried a few front hooks. The hub was probably put through more punishment today than i have put it through in the past. After landing a gap, and lowering the front wheel to the ground, the whole wheel shifted over at an angle, and wouldnt go through my brake anymore. I thought this was strange, but managed to get it straight again, and carried on riding. A few minutes later, the same thing happened. but this time, when i got it straight, it shifted over again as soon as i put weight on it. I then walked back to the car, and took my wheel off the bike. I pulled the "axle" out of one side, and instead of it just being the end bit that came out, it was both the end bit, and the tube which should stay inside the hub, Along with multiple bits of cartridge bearing. As far as i can tell, i have crushed the bearing in one side of my hub, and it as basically exploded. I will get on the phone to super cycles tomorow to find out about warentee, and will up-date with what is going on. Cheers, Alex.
  17. I don't like to ride rails in the wet anyway, i like my genatals (Y)
  18. Yeah, i wish. Anybody that has seen me ride will either not remeber me, or agree i'm nothing special :P I just dont understand it, i could ride on rails without too much problem, except for being rubbish at rails, and i would have thought they would be just about as slippy as it gets?! (Y) EDIT: i guess i did run mine fairly hard compared to some people (wayne-king) but that would jus give me less grip??
  19. I have never pinched a front one (i dont think i have anyway). I did however pinch my rear 2.5 once, running a nokian gazzalodi tube. The people that say they dont grip... i never had any problems, untill it was just about smooth, and started raining... what kind of surfaces do you ride on??
  20. I'll go for 2.5 a year
  21. What about mee???? Now with a sunn ditch witch rear rim (black, so it matches the front wheel better) :turned:"
  22. Maybe he just pushed it around his room abit, like with the forks  "
  23. But how would they no? Slap some maggy fluid in there, then send it back... even after paying for the fluid, its cheaper than getting a new brake
  24. Only untill he gets the curtis forks... If they were permanent, that would be a surprise
  25. Oh dear Miles, i think we better have a little chat... Ever heard of a thing called sarcasm??"
