  1. Right, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. I have been looking tonight at riding in the national round which will be held at hookwoods on the 18th of september. What I would like to no, is weather anybody has any pictures of video clips of any of the expert sections at any of the nationals so that i no what i'm getting myself into. Also, I no i will have to get myself a BIU license, which is £10 i believe? but that shouldnt be a problem, i assume it's just a case of filling out the correct form? What I would like to no is what the entry fee into the actual even will be? I no the one i would like to enter is run by EBTC so will it be the same as their normal club trial entry fee's? and do i get the entry form from the same man in charge as all EBTC comps? Sorry for any spellings, it is late... Thanks for any help :S Alex :)
  2. Look sweet, wish i had one :( Liking the cable routing for the front brake :ermm: We want a vid of you riding it now! :)
  3. I havent seen it yet, but i'll guess you either the guy on the mission, or the guy behind the camera :ermm:
  4. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong, but the t-bird has not got a 19" rear wheel, because of this if it were my bike, I would save my money to be able to get a new frame and rear wheel, only replacing other parts if they break in the mean time. I say this, because in the Mod world, just about all the "better" bikes have a 19" rear wheel, and so you might find your buying other parts for your t-bird which will not fit on your next frame, leaving you with a poor rear wheel with a poor frame, but otherwise top-notch spec... Thats just what I would do though... :ermm:
  5. Ahh, Thats why i asked, we don't have an Elite route in Hampshire comp's, and as I ride Expert, I was worrying that i'm not doing very well compared to expert riders at other clubs :)
  6. I get the impression they are out of the country at the moment... If you go onto a phone shop's web site however, you may find somthing useful. I expect you could find something fro around £40-£50 :)
  7. Does that have a slow-mo of Craig Lee Scott side hopping? or of TRA hooking? etc... Yes, it's a great video, but i'm sure with some of the riders on the forum, we can make better more specific tutorials?!
  8. Yes, tutorial video's are often a good idea, I remember watching the ones one the trials works website a couple of years back, and they helped me no end...
  9. Hey! stop ruining thigs for me! my plan WILL work! :P (N)
  10. Count me into this club. I have basically wasted the last two years at college and am now going to go back and do different subjects. In order to do this, I have decided as i will be two years older than everybody else in the class, I won't fit in with the group aswell, therefore instead of spending breaks and lunch times with friends, I won't have any, so i'll be able to get some work done. Also, Many of my friends outside college, will be off at uni, so I won't be going out with them so much... Basically I'm going to make myself a loner for the next two years so that i can get myself into uni (N)
  11. Is that Expert? If that's Expert, then hampshire's version is much more friendly to the less skillful rider (N)
  12. (N) Has no one else realised that they were actually saying the rim is strong? (Y) All these people saying that he is a tit, have you actually read the thread, it tells you a good few times that it was not fixable, so why not destroy it 100%? Nice work guys :)
  13. My cousin races 1/8th nitro buggy's (think thats what they are known as?), his name is Karl Jackson, some of you people that follow the sport may have heard of him? he has been mentioned in magazines etc... Here is the results from the pre-season warm-up race thingy that happens in portugal (N) P. Pilota Modello Motore 1. Karl Jackson Mugen Novarossi 2. Jon Hazlewood ThunderTiger Rex 3. Ryan Donovan XRAY RB I have got a rather broken and poor quality electric car myself, but feel i might have to "accuire" one of my cousin's old car's and have a little go myself :)"
  14. :)" :P 1)I ride in the hampshire comp's but i would like to ride some of the essex rounds aswell, and i was concidering trying out some national's now that i'm driving. 2)My parents have never been very supportive of me riding trials, so up untill i passed my driving test i had to blag lifts off of friends (cheers harsh rider (N) ) 3)I have never really found that this is a problem, everybody helps eachother get through the sections, and shouts out helpful tips, or words of encouragement (Y) Then they will often laugh when you fall in a ditch :P
  15. I ride Trials... I do Hampshire comp's and i ride street, oh, and the odd bit of natural, oh, and i went to the local jump spot recently. I ride pretty much everything you can ride on a Trials bike. Oh, and anybody who knows me, will tell you i don't clean my bike often. With a clean rim and pads, my brake is awsome, but as it is dirty, it merely works superbly...
  16. No, really, you are actually really tall! Nice sidehopping... get the crouch more and you could have that to two wheels
  17. I pretty sure i'm not the only one still running a front V brake. I have got an Avid SD7 with a Shimano XTR lever, using standard rim wrangler 2 pads which came with it. It performs superbly, exclent lock and hold, yet still offers modulation for stoppies etc  My set-up might seem expensive for a v brake, but i would say it performs aswell as alot of disks, so why not splash out?! :P
  18. You have had one ride with this brake! so I dont really think that you can say how it performs yet! It hasn't bedded in, and you were saying that so far it isn't that great, but think it will get better when it beds in. P.s, I run a V so i'm sorry but i can't help :P
  19. i'm running race face diablous bars with a face face prodigy stem on my leeson. If you look in my galery you can see a couple or pictures of it. I have my bars tilted along way forward, but they have quite a large rise, so you might like them tilted back more...
  20. Thats because us Leeson riders who have bought them previously have got a seat tube that you can't put a "proper" seat on (Y)
  21. Should be nice (Y) Get pic's up when you've got it, i would like to see what its like with a "proper" seat :)
  22. They seem like nice frames, DTT-Echo Team on here rides one, and he seems to be getting on alright with it  They feel quite long to me, although i'm comparing to my leeson, Wayne-king who rides a levelboss 1100 will probably say the revel is quite short :P Have ago on one if you can. Overall, they ride nice, and are good value for money (Y) And, as they are steel, cracks are an easy fix :P
  23. 762 is cucumber i believe?! and 776 green grapes? They'r the only two i remember, and they'r probably wrong. haha. I work at Asda on the fruit n veg dept, so i only no the numbers from que busting :S" , well, thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it! :) I no alot about...err... I don't no alot about anything actually... :D
  24. It's ok lads/ ladettes, don't worry yourselves... They'r not blue pallets! they wouldnt be any good for measuring things anyway :S"
  25. It's probably always been there, it's just that you don't watch ITV anymore (Y)
