  1. I don't use anything, I have used the lizard things in the past with no problems though. I found my MBUK one fell apart :P
  2. I have one of them, but getting it to grip the crank arm with all 3 arms of the tool is not easy, and it often slips when you start to screw the middle bit in... (Y)
  3. Ridden: You go to a ride, and RIDE your bike  I'm thinking of our ride at the emsworth rocks, you got there, and sat and watched, I didn't actually see you pull one line i dont think. When you ride, you generally go for bigger/ more difficult stuff to what you have done previously, therefore you will make mistakes. Mistakes are what punnishes a bike, causing scratches, dints etc...
  4. Scroll to the very bottom of the page, and in the bottom left there is a drop down menu :S
  5. Most of Trials-forum would laugh at you anyway :S"
  6. Come on Andy, wheres the big stuff? I have seen bigger and better than that recently! :S
  7. Well he can pull off a triple burger flip... take a guess (Y)
  8. If you want to get the "proper" technique of hitting the back wheel on the face of the wall and having it bounce up, then you will have to be trying it on bigger things than a 2.5 foot wall (Y)
  9. Well I personally have just purchased a 2.2 comp 24.1. I used to use on way back, then got a very bouncy 2.5 hot-s, then I went for the 2.35 maxxis. My friend recently got the 2.2 comp 24.1, and it looks a fair bit wider than the 2.35 maxxis minnion, so I thought i'd give it ago again. If all you want from a tire is good grip and puncture protection then the 2.2 should be ample. The 2.5 will weigh more, but should be more bouncy. I would also concider what rim your using before buying. If you are using somthing narrow such as a D521/ EX721 then the 2.2 will not roll as much as the 2.5 would. But, If you have got somthing like a Koxx or Onza rim, the 2.5 might be better. Hope this has helped. Alex.
  10. Well I have been learning it recently on my 1020 leeson, so i should hope it is possible on an alibongo :P I have been riding with Andy P, and trying to copy his technique, but it's so far not happening too great. I get the back wheel to bounce off the wall, but no where near high enough to get onto the top of the wall (Y) Ahwell, keep trying i guess. :S
  11. Well on the few occasions that I have ridden with sam sinse he got the alibongo, I don't think he has pulled more than a handful of moves (Y) Sam, stop loving it, start riding it! (Y)
  12. I've not seen it yet, i'll download it tomorow. Question: what happened to engage 6? (Y) :(
  13. You are infact correct in everything that you have just said. Some people like their brakes to sqeak so they no that it is locking properly, giving them confidence. Personally I do have a squeaky rear brake, but I don't think about it, or even hear it when i'm riding, because i'm concentrating on other things :)

    .~

err... you have said several times in there that chain tugs stop the wheel from moving, so surely he is right in saying that if you dont use tugs the wheel will move?! :)"
  15. It will be within a few mm as said above, but really, does it matter? It's only a figure! Anybody remember the days of trials when it didnt matter what your bike was but what you could do on it? (Y) :)"
  16. Clamp the seat post in a vice or similar, and use the frame for leverage (Y)
  17. Could you run the monty adapters upside down? therefore allowing the 25" wheel to fit a 26" frame? I have never heard a good thing about a 25" monty rim, so i wouldnt bother trying it... Their new frames however do look rather nice :D
  18. Ahh, well done that man, pic's would be wonderful :D
  19. Thanks to a friend, I have been reminded that I have to have working gears to ride in a national competition, although i can not see it stated in the 2005 rules on www.biketrialsuk.co.uk. Could sombody please confirm weather or not i need to run gears, and if so,how many? Is a seat tube mounted shifter aloud? Cheers, Alex (Y)
  20. somebody get that clip and upload it  I wouldnt mind seeing what its all about :P
  21. Leeson forks are lovely, although may look a little skinny on his frame... Clive can do 4 bolt mounts on them, although he will try and sell you pashley's instead because of the price (£100 for leeson's). I would go with the flow on this one and get some urban's they seem to be liked :)
  22. I would call mie broken, but i didnt get a new one when i got my new frame because i didnt think it would suit. They do the job well, and last a fair amount of time :P
  23. If you feel upto the challenge you can grab a lift off me. I should have my new car by then so it won't be so much of a challenge getting there :)" :S
  24. Thanks for the info guys, Ive not found any vid's yet, but will keep looking :S I'm sure i can stretch to £13 for a good day out riding :) I expect to see some of you guys there then :S Cheers, Alex :D
