  1. I just got the shift on the front, hardly any tread on them and they are a lil wild on rocks. sticky lite on the rear is good though. did have a rain king before, which was good for pinches and very grippy too. was a b*****d to get on and off of the rim though.
  2. Agreed! how can you be straight wearing your little sisters jeans. Anyways, if you ride left foot forward you dont have a problem with munching jeans
  3. Looks good, think you need some black bars now though.
  4. To be honest, the website was so slow i gave up tryin to browse. I did like the look of the new mod frame though.
  5. How is the tpa attached to the piston?
  6. Maybe he is thinking about re-sale value?
  7. Im really surprised with the results so far. I had the impression from the board that not many people were interested in it. The results show other wise. From the one comp i have attended so far ive found it a great place to meet new riders of all levels. Its also a great place to watch and learn new styles and It pushes you to improve. All in all i think its a great place, and im pleasantly surprised with how many peeps are involved. cant wait to meet a few more of you.
  8. I dont see it as 'how good i am compared to other people' i see it as to more to push myself to get better. Maybe when i get to a higher level my perspective will change.
  9. I said there is a chance, i started on an mtb too! But im sure there is a fair few people who are not on this forum because they tried and realised how hard the sport is and gave up.
  10. Im interested in who out of the current regular users do comps. I recently done my first comp and really enjoyed it, to me it sort of gives trials a meaning. State your opinions below please.
  11. Its just one of those things, if he doesnt want to spend a lot of money but wants to give trials a go then converting his mtb would be a good idea, But there is a chance that due to it being harder to learn on an mtb he will loose interest. He could go all out and buy a trials bike but then the problem is if he doesnt enjoy it the chances are he will loose money. Decisions!
  12. i have try-all's, very light and they dont flex like the echo sl's. there for sale too so when you get validated give us a shout. Was you at the barrow comp last weekend?
  13. mate you cant put wanted threads without bein validated. Make the effort to get validated and it wont take long. A thread like this will only make it take longer.
  14. depends on what sort of bike you have. decent rear hub, brakes, some rigid forks and a bash ring will get you goin for starters.
  15. ive found if you take the tube and tire off and then re fit your wheel, its easy to set your brake up. also use a set of brand new pads (original magura blacks) if you have some lyin about because if your pads havnt worn straight then it can be hard to judge square.
  16. Probably no more expensive than royal blood
  17. Anyone tried vodka? it wont freeze thats for sure, its got low viscosity. Any disadvantages?
  18. No mate, im 6ft 4 and have rode a mod for a fair while. its what ever you feel comfortable with. there are a wide range of stem sizes to account for your size.
  19. Yes mate. I went into the trial not liking the 26" and come out loving it lol. The speedrace does ride good!
  20. I remember you, i was on the red speedrace 26" I also remember you too, its good to put names to faces.
  21. Really enjoyed it, even if it was -5* and everything was mega slippery. I could see the improvement throughout the day on each round which was good. Its amazin how one little mistake can turn a clean section into a 5! All in all i loved ity and cant wait till the new season. Thank you all for some useful advice.
  22. Thank you, sounds like some good advice. Im not expecting to do well, just a taste for next year. Excellent advice! lol
