  1. Does anyone else run bt wheels and if so have you got anymore information on them? Cheers
  2. Hmm, have axles snapping always been a problem with echo hubs?
  3. Cheers for the replys guys, much appreciated. if anyone else has any view i would like to hear them please... Thanks
  4. Any rear mech will be fine really but most trials riders use short cage derallieurs such as shimano sora, sun race etc. This is because the smaller the rear mech is the harder it is to knock it off! Cheers
  5. Hey, I am in need of a new set of wheels, on the back i am considering the koxx wheel including... try all rim, try all fixed hub and im not sure which spokes? or...... koxx rim, echo fixed hub and sapim race spokes. Does anybody know how much better the try all hub is costing 150 than the echo fixed hub at 75 ( quite a price difference) On the front i only really need a new rim and spokes but am not too sure whether i should just buy a full wheel, i have a decent koxx hub on my front rim at the minute but the rim and spokes are broke... any ideas? Cheers x
  6. Has to be a koxx xtp r in blue with yellow rims and stickers... you know the score
  7. Common sense, koxx will be a better bike as it is a higher spec, monty is 650 brand new and the koxx is 1000 brand new, also the koxx has an eno which is 85 quid alone and also a chris king headset. My mate has the monty, he likes it but it is quite heavy compared with the koxx. IMO the koxx will definately be a better bike but its all down to opinion, second hand is the way forward though, so much more bike for your money.
  8. Mate i would get a new chain if i was you, mine was a fairly old chain but i had never had any problems with it, then one day when i was out ridin one of the links just pulled clean apart putting me in hospital. I think mine snapped because it was an old chain and had quite a lot of pressure going through it at that time.... Check out the picture of my chain snappin on my mypsace pictures... http://www.myspace.com/ben_coolio Cheers x
  9. Just a thought, wouldnt the fact that it is 'narrow' mean it is bound to be weak or does the width of the chain not make a difference to the strength? Does the kmc kool narrow handle everything you throw at it well? Thanks for the advice on not getting the rohloff, cant be doing with snapping another chain and getting another operation and being out of riding for 2 or so months. Cheers x
  10. I broke my knee cap in four places, then got up and started walking because everyone said it was only swellin because it just had a hard bang. i then decided to go home and then to hospital, where i found out i was going to have to have an operation on my knee cap to allow it to heal properly. i know have tension wire holding my knee cap together and a pot covering my whole leg. All of this happened just because my chain snapped whilst i was doing a gap. Chck out my myspace to see a beasty photo of me nearly dying............. http://www.myspace.com/ben_coolio Also check out the video where it went okay before my chain snapped!!! Cheers.... x
  11. Otherwise you will end up like me, with a knee cap broken in 4 places and a pot covering your whole leg. Anyway, i need to get a new decent chain for when im back riding, does anybody know if rohloff trials chains are still about and if so where i could get one? Cheers...... x
