So have you used a proper anti-virus program by a reputable company? Or have you just used the freebie type stuff. If you haven't my first port of call would be using something like AVG free, Avast!, Panda Cloud as 3rd party Spyware programs and registry cleaners are okay, but I've always found they're really basic and can cause more problems than they solve in most cases. If you have, then I'd tend to sack off the symptom finding and backup my music an go for a format and fresh install on windows.

Although at £14.99 it's a bit expensive so you may want to look at other alternatives to acquiring it. and I quite like using Soundmeter, just because I think it's interesting how loud stuff is, driving in my car, computer noise, aircraft noise at work etc. I'm bit of audiophile and I like stuff that's quiet. That's the cpu cooler ive got and it's just ridiculously noisy considering the CPU is only 32'C. My computer seriously sounds like a helicopter. So basically there is no program that'll do the job. No computer programmers filled this niche?

How can I turn down the RPM on my cpu fan? I've just tried using Speedfan with no affect.
