Hi everyone a while back i discovered how to make vp cages last ages. step 1: take a new set of echo vp cages or onza ones. step 2: remove all of the cages and plastic spacers. step 3: drill the plastic spacer so its 5 mill wide. step 4: take a m6 tap (5 mill thread tap) and screw it into the pedal body forming slightly bigger threads. step 5: do the same for all 4 holes on the pedal body. step 6: now assemble the pedal back together with 5 mill bolts and let your pedals have a very care free life.

I agree with dab for getting around u really want your gears and if u go singlespeed u may still hit your mech hanger but its up to you.
