There not the best but everyone's got a raw bike these days. Keep it how it is.

Shipley Glen isn't far from Saltaire train station. There's a bit of a hill when you go through the woods but it's not bad, and fun on the way down (probably not after a full days riding though). EDIT: Looking on the National rail website from Barrow-in-furness to Saltaire is a over 4 hours with two changes.........

24 is easier streety stuff. Top riders like Ali and Ben Travis have made the move down from 26. I wouldn't say it was the same. You can just use lots of stem stackers if you are tall like Ben Rowlands.
