If you want a well tuned angine look no further than any vw car great engineering fro mthe germans. My ideal car now is an r32 but only time will tell

Im not engineer but heres my guess. You make the tube and inside yopu have some sort of structure inside made up of thin sheets of metal, like the ribs in michelin tyres acting as structural supports. Think it would be like reiforced concrete but in a metal tube this would let the frame take the vertical anbd horizontal stress.

I should wear my helmet more, I used to I had one in London but they look gay on me but i shall buy another one to add to my collection, this time Ill use it. As for knee/shin pads and the like I only ever used it for dh otherwise its too restrictive. Also a good pair of jeans stops most cuts and grazes. I remember my helmet saving my head once but more from stupidity, I rode into the milenium briddge, now how stupid is that.

Theres so much phycological invovled in this, Im sure any engineer, physist, science type person would say do the tests gets some sort of numeriocal data and go from there. Its all well and good saying a works better than b but put your money where your mouth is and get some hard empirical evidence.

You cant rule out the phycological related to break noise and level of convidence. What you need is a smooth rim,a plaz pad and a machine to measure braking strength, set one up so it squeals and the other so it dont then get some readings.

Do you want the bolt for a rear brake running a booster or for a front brake running without a booster as theses two different lengths

Still theres not much need for a steel freehub and with the single speed the cassette part is cut down and you run a king kog on it which should come with the hub. So anywyas you get a king kog aswell. A king hub is a king hub if one works so do all the others. My brother had a single speed king never a problem with it we both have bmx kings same as a single speed but bmx size and different axle and bolts. Not a single problem with those.

If you dont need gears then I would suggest the king single speed comes with heavy dute axle and fun bolts for about £200 from Aspire. Oh and get it in a funky colour

I would go but I have my finals at uni and ive decided to take 2-3 weeks out so as to not kill myslef before an exam. Bring on the 16th may and Ill be out every day without fail.

I dont like gettign stuck in my freewheel, when I had one peole laughed and me and came and took my shoe off and tickled me while I lay helpless on the ground. I cant fault my king hub, look after it and it might just work properly.

I thought a properly set up magura no matter what pads you have is suposed to make a noise similar to rubbing sand paper over something.

This is just an idea as I have revision to do and rather than do it Id rather buy a new bike as I fell its more interestingt han revising. I cant motivate myself, Ive had enough of revising now, 3-4 weeks now and another 3 weeks left.
