Firstly what a good little boy Iam posting it in Chit Chat was tempted to put in in Vids and Pics but I resisted, anyway enough of me being a twat. Bought second hand off Trialsboy560 Ive made a few changed and theres a few more to come. Gold and black intended colour scheme, its looking nice and rides just as nicely. Spec is as follows Frame: Fit logic Forks: Eastern Headset: Gold Chris King (havent fitted it yet) Stem: Eastern Bar: Eastern Front wheel build: G-sport Homer in silver built onto a black Sun Big City rim Pagegs 2 Shadow Conspiracy mean pegs Brake: dirty harry lever with an anodized blue evolver brake and fibrax pads Cranks: profile cranks and 25t profile imperial sprocket in gold Pedals: dmr v8 pedals Chain: KMC Kool chain Rear Wheel build: Odyssey Hazard cassette hub with loads of different sized cogs in anodized red built onto a chrome Sun Big City Tyres: Maxxis Hookworms front and rear (havent fitted those yet Seat post: Snafu Outpost Seat: Demolition seat Bikes had a bit of a make over so progress report. Destickered it was relucant to do it but Im very pleased I did as it looks so much nicer, cleaner lines more flowing. Cut the seat post down Put on some gold dustcaps (sad me) Gold King headset arrived yesterday along with my new tyres and a chain tensioner but as Im at uni I cant fit them for another week Going to be buying a gold seat clamp well posssibly deciding whether there wil lbe too much gold a set of flush bolts for the cranks and some new profile bar ends in black. As for the ride it feels so damm nice been riding BMX for 2 days now and I can 180 bunny hop, grind partly still getitng the hang of that and manualing is alot easier. Overall its a world diffewrent to my trials bike yet the two complement each other so nicely that my learning progression should speed up quite considerably.

Good choice of date there, jst after my exams finsih so yes Ill be down but Ill be on a BMX again, as its starting to grow on me.

Wont the paint crack when the wheel is rebuilt or are you lot suggesting build the wheel cover everything but the hub up take the internals out and spray gold.

Im using iDailyDiary downloaded from www.downloads.com Its very easy to use and very basic layout more of a diary but Im sure you can use it as a calender.

Another thing about the 'shit bmx' style. I think bmx and trials goes hand in hand, they both complenet one another and it will make you a better alround rider whatever one you prefer.

DMR V12's at $30 a pair they may seem expensive but I have still got mine from 4 years ago they have been on every bike Ive owned, from downhill, to street and trials and apart from not much pin life left and the bearings needing replacing as of a few months ago they are the best value pedals money can buy. Ive never even serviced them and Im pretty damm harsh on my pedals as I used to grind on them.

BMX Videos Here As for forums Im signed upto www.bmx-world.com seems pretty good place but it covers the whole world. Oli Im using 25:12 but its too easy and I know its not right but until I can afford a Profile with 9th its how its gonna be. Also Im finding the opposite to you when bunny hopping 180 I tend to go very fast to stop me using the pedals to get me rotating and I cant roll backwards fast enough and the back locks up. Im sure practice will make perfect.

I used to ride 20:13 when I had middleburns Then I ran 18:13 while I was waiting for a 12tooth cog Now I run 18:12 The best has to be either 20:13 or 18:12 18:13 is too easy.

This is for me bmx. The problem is I can only get the Profile hub I want in gold with 14mm axle and 36 hole as the Profile Mini SS hub. Whereas Ive seen a black profile hub with 10tooth driver and 14mm ti axle for half the price it would cost in the shops. So I could buy that and anodised it to suit my colour scheme. Dont hassle me over colours.

Firstly is it even possible to anodise a black profile hub gold. If it is possible then I take it I would need to strip the hub of everything and just anodise the hub body/shell.

Go single speed, Jimbo on here did finally after enough encouragement and he got a dmr thing the new thing they bought out. He managed to bend it into shape and tension the thing enough upwards that it slotted right inbetween his spokes and chainstay so it is out of the way, so no damage.

I think ill leave the maura idea as someone sai a busted ose is game over. Im liking the u brake now moved the lever further in the bar and it seems to be nicer on my finger now. Are the dirty harry levers meant for 1 or 2 finger braking asi have a spare one of those mini leavers that are for 1 finger brakin.

How does this magura bodge work as dans told me it should work on the mounts i have on me bmx

Ill give you mine by end of tonight, Ill decide what bike I take 2morra as the bmx arived and im loving the f**k out of it. Almost got 180 bunny hops done none of the pedal crap i do on the mod to 180. And I can now manual thanks to the shortness

Thanks I was just broswing and liked the topic, very well writen. And no I dont know them everyone i know is validated thanks very much. I did run a forum once im not stupid, i banned people left right and centre then gave up.

I think its Daves topic on how he managed to run a magura on a bmx. Well dans informed me that the rear mounts on my bmx will allow me to run a maggie I just want to see the pics and know how to do it. Im hating the current brake I cant hold the lever nicely and it feels gay but im learning fast.
