I go buy a complete for no more than £500 and then go form there. Its a lot easier and very simple, it arrives, you put the pedals on and off you go. Theres some good deals out there right now. Ill have a little look

It just started spitting and there are a few water marks on the frame. Do I leave it to dry overnight and then lightly sand the water marks out the next day then just respray. By the way its looking nice not as glossy but another can will sort it.

It is a good frame, I loved it, nice and short and flicky, could have done with a shorter rear end. I flared mine one though but then that is me. I may get it fixed and sell it on cheap.

Had a little mishap - got finger prints and other bits on the paintwork so Im having to take the stickers off and sand it down again then repaint. Wont be done til the weekend oh well. The stickers arent a big deal I didnt like them anyway. No wait I managed to sort the problem out, saned the shit bits down and going to mask everything off 2morra for painting when everyrthings properly dried -

I think mark was on about if I left it bare metal finish but it does look much better now and its actually come out with a super shiny finish. I was going to put lacquer on to protect the paintwork. -

Your damm frame I flared the headtube on it hehe, it lasted a nice amount of time and I could still get it fixed. I might put a picture up late as its not built yet. I think I have clear laquer in the garage so might aswell give it a few coats. -
Bmx Question About Platinum Ox Tubiung
Michael Hardman replied to Michael Hardman's topic in Chit Chat
I found this OX Platinum is a proprietary superthermophillic (heat-loving) alloy, developed in partnership with the U.S. Steel Alliance. The composition of Chromium, Molybdenum, and Vanadium with an unprecedented 217 ksi ultimate tensile strength makes this alloy actually gain strength through a metallurgical transformation in the heat-affected zone as a result of welding or brazing. OX Platinum is highly temper-resistant, resulting in an 11% increase in fatigue life and a 20% increase in impact strength over the competition. The increased mechanical properties of OX Platinum allow for incredibly strong, yet lightweight frame designs with that legendary feel of steel ride quality. I take it from that this tubing is an alloy and therefore doesnt need painting, if this is the case Im so happy. Im no expert when it comes to metal properties. -
My new frame arrived and its made of platinum ox tubing now I bought the unpainted one as it was cheaper and I could paint it what ever colour i choose. Problem is I like the colour of bare metal but Im not sure if I have to paint it. I dont know if it will rust as im not sure if its made of 4130 and then had something done to it to prevent rust. Any ideas, I want to leave it bare but I dont want it rusting on me. Frame does have a lifetime warrenty so maybe it will be covered. Some help form the metal experts please the bmx forum is a bit quiet now

Lol why of all things you pick that out, I was and I think everyone else is on about the beating

Michael Hardman replied to Littleharrys's topic in Member Organised Rides
Bristol is better as everything is closer but the big hill anoys me London amazing if you want to travel a bit theres loads of new stuff everyday but the cops have become a joke there recently, in bristol I dont remember being hassled one bit -
An eye for an eye, bring back capital punishment that would go against the shitty pc world we live in. If you kill someone drink driving you deserve to die, if you murder someone you deserve to die. Manslater is a different kettle of fish Ill think of a solution for that soon. Drug dealers are killing people, kill them, its the only way to make sure it doesnt happen again. May sound harsh and foget human rights thats a load of bull. We cant deport no heads that will get killed in their own country its against theri human rights we them themselvs are against the britsihs human rights to a living environment that is safe. Oh yeah thats it none of the above will ever apply to me so I dont care I will not be affected by the outcome of murdering someone so thats why its a fair and just way.
