Right i'm running Onza Ronnie 19" rim for 2 main reasons. 1. I'm using a wide tire, An old Monty 2.5 (the one with white ring running around the outside) and with wide rims it rubbed on either side of the chainstays but incase it wont work i have a thinner tire so if with a new rim it doesn't fit i can chuck that on if, I go for a wider rim what i am hopefully doing if all goes well. 2. I'm running Cousts in CNC'd backings and i think with a wide rim you need to have hardly no pad material in the backings otherwise the brake pads are fully on rim what causes it to rub. I am wanting to change rear rim as i am going through the Onza rims like nothing and no i'm not a harsh rider. I'm hoping to get the new 07 Echo rim. So i was wondering is there anyone else who uses a wide rim and CNC'd backings and a fair bit of pad in backings? Or is there anyone whos been in my situation and managed to run what they wanted to? In other words can i get out of this! Many thanks Aaron.
