  1. If I get even more bored, I'll find out. I tried putting my old 2.220" wide Max Daddy up front. That certainly slowed the f**ker up (Y)\
  2. The "Aurora of Cool" surrounding my bike does indeed make it easier to lift.
  3. Welcome to Boredsville (Pop'n - me). This is what free time and little colourful stickers does to you. Oh, and waiting for glue 'n' stuff to dry on puncture repairs. Chuffin' pins...
  4. It'd have to be made in a new jig and so they'd need to cover tooling costs, etc. as well though? I dunno...
  5. Ah, I see what you mean. Fair enough. Hopefully it'll be the usual Onza cheapy-cheapy thing :( Seeing as their new frames seems to go the distance strength-wise, should be cool. Is this new geometry going to put a shitload more force on the head-tube?
  6. Or, you could do what Heather Mills did. Get in a crash, and have them grafted onto one of your legs (or for the extreme version, both). They did look pretty good fun, although it must be a bitch when you first get 'em and fall over all the time :(\ At first though, all I was thinking was "A magnetic ball. How delightful." Then I read the post :D
  7. From what I could tell though, I thought Tomm was refering to the fact they've altered (mainly) one aspect of the geometry of the T-Rex, and it seems to ride better? Whereas if you've got non-trials riding designers sorting your frames they might not be able to work out how to make it better? Most of the 'feel' you get when you ride a bike in unquantifiable unless you ride, so I guess it's cool that people who are at the front line (as it were) are sorting frames now.

    I Cracked The Koxx

Is cracking your Koxx kinda like snapping your banjostring? Anyway, sucks about the frame. I know I've broken 2 frames at that exact same spot (Onza test frames, not Levelboss''s's's's's), so I guess it's not that uncommon. Hope you sort something out.
  9. Someone host Ben's vid! Unless it's in another thread already :"> Oh, and well done Spunkey for getting it all up and running. Sounds pretty awesome :D I'm defo going to come to the next one. Missed out on so much stuff now! Never been to NASS, missed Tech, missed this... *Sigh*...
  10. Quite the front disc hose :D Looks good. It's cool how you and Ad have gone from 'just' trials riders to company owners and now frame developers too. Pretty busy end to '04 :D Seems to be pretty much sorted in terms of WB and BB height - is the headangle, etc. all OK? Reckon there'll be as many versions of this as the Woodstock? :D Good luck with it. Mark.

    Echo Video's

They probably don't want others uploading their vids 'cos if you've got to go Echo/Zoo's site to get a vid, you're more likely to glance at their products and think "Hmm, I like that". It makes sense for them to draw you in, really, even though it sucks hugely.
  12. Wouldn't it be better for the people who think it's been "turned into a dictatorship" to say why? And no, people won't be warned for it... I think the only problem Danny said there might be with making a seperate group of people able to upgrade/downgrade accounts from "full" to "new" members is that it'd be a bitch to set up? 'though I don't know. Either way, there is a "validation thread" about the place where people put people's names in, and there's a pretty consistent flow of people through. I wasn't too sure about the NMC forum at first, but having seen the amount of properly shit threads in there it's a good thing. Plus, if people have been suspended/banned, they can't get straight back into the forum. For example, after a bit of an issue between tomturd and Pete Wright, Pete was suspended until he replied to Tom's e-mails or summat, and now Pete's back on the forum as "Random". However, he doesn't have full access to the board. In Pete's case he's not really that much of an issue, but you *do* get complete tools coming on here. Someone like "Yate trials" or "Briggs" or something was creating loads of shit in NMC (I think you even replied in one of those threads Ben, so I guess you know who I mean? The "Trials Rap" thread?) and it's better that it's contained across there than 4 or 5 other sub-forums. I know it seems a bit elitist that we have NMC, but it seems to be working pretty well, really... Mark. P.S. As someone said up there, threads are generally closed for a reason. It's not just "Meh, close that" or whatever. If you wanted to put a reply in to a locked thread, you can PM your reply to a moderator and they can put it in for you if it *should* be in there?
  13. I just think that having 4 sections of the comp might be a bit sorta... not fiddly, but it's just a bit excessive? 'cos the thing is is that if you're worried about the 'best riders' winning it'll still happen? 'cos if, to use an earlier example, CLS puts out a natural vid, the CLS legion will vote for that so it'll win that. Equally, it'll probably win in the other categories? It's not the system that's at fault, it's people blindly voting for their favourite rider as opposed to their favourite video, so no matter how many categories you make it'll still be like that? Either way, kudos to sorting it out anyway. Hopefully 'cos the forum's even bigger and people have more financial interest in the site (with the banners 'n' all), it'll mean there'll be a nice set of prizes :) Mark.
  14. That's been circulating in our school for a while. Some *cough*loser*cough* kid spent quite a while on it and got past 305m, and got her topless. Just as our fair stern female art teacher came in. Tears before bedtime... Mark.

    Personal Portfolio

1, 3, 7, then the last 3 were the shortlist from me. How come one of them's in a different language?

    Angle Grinders

I don't have a credit card that I can use for either online thing :P Ah well, cheers for the help. I'll see what shit's going down in town tomorrow.
  17. Spelling mistakes or two, but that's about it. Oh, and it takes a freakin' age to load on 570kb/sec broadband :P\ We're talking pretty damn long time. Other than that, nice graphics 'n' stuff on it.
  18. I think that's about right. Wasn't it Granger who came into one of these threads and got proper arsey 'cos he reckoned some XCer on Guernsey had been doing it in the 60's? Silly Frenchie... Anyway, yeah, Spanish dudes, back in the 80's. Ot Pi is known as one of the foremost riders, helping develop the design for the X-Lite which didn't seem to change for bloody ages (read: last year :ermm:). Anyway, yeah, it was them that developed all the sorta first "trials specific" stuff.
  19. Tartybikes stock Echo, so I'm guessing they'd have some. If you want "20 year of trial bike experience" holding your axle in place, you could get the Monty ones from Cleanbikes.
  20. www.customriders.com Anything that's for 10mm axles will fit your bike. I guess you could go for snail cams or something, but I way prefer chain tugs really... So yeah, just go for whatever you like the look of/is cheap enough. I think at the moment I've got some old random KHE one for the right, and a tiddly Onza one for the left. Primo and Snafu do good stuff, but really, it'll all work fine...

    Angle Grinders

I just wish we had an Argos within 45 miles. Welcome to Backwater Country :ermm: I might try our local sorta hardware store place and see if they've got any about...
