What, like you got upset when someone was selling Creepy Crawlers brand new for £4 less than you were second hand? Anyway, "ok, way i see it, trials= competitoin, a trial of what you can do on your bike against the section,s" covers street anyway, it's just that you don't need a team of observers, an audience and loads of tape to mark out what you're going to do? It's the same techniques, same bikes, same riders - same everything. Pure trials on urban stuff is just street trials, although the definition between street trials and street (e.g. front/full sus, stair drops, etc.) is sorta blurring now. Either way, it doesn't matter. Maybe you should watch that Vincent Hermance "Trial Life" video...

Hey Ben, I've got spare cylinders if you want one (free of charge)? Won't get to you by this weekend obviously, but you could have it for half term? PM me and let me know.

'cos the front wheel doesn't touch the floor after you lift it, so it doesn't matter?

Those videos are way good. Ell Firth's section was surprisingly good, Tim P's was awesome, as was John Shrewsbury's bit... oh... and Andy P's too...and...well...all of them, basically. Kudos to Ashton for not ending up on the floor after the wheel-death :- For people who liked Tim's rail manual, you should go into the "Little Wheels" thread, and get the "GETrialer" video that Sameer posted on p2. Got some crazy guy who (from memory) jumps a funbox and lands on the grind rail on the other side and rides down the full length of it. It's properly nuts... http://www.shookin.com/media/GETrailer.mpg <- There she blows. Got some really nice editing in it too...

Mine are only 7mm too, and you have to be about 1.5-2m away at least 'fore it starts to resemble the picture. I guess it also largely depends on the image size itself, so if you've got an 18 A3 page big pic 7mm dots will look tiny (relatively) but if it's a 2-page A4 pic then they'll seem bigger.

White Industry Eno trials freewheels are fully sealed. I got mine a coupla days ago (still haven't managed to get it on the bike yet (Y)), and from what I can tell it's uber well made. The engagements are all loud and crisp. You can really hear the 3 pawls click into place. You don't have to tighten the lockring either 'cos it's got a little clip holding it, it's sealed bearing, all parts are available as spares and are super easy to replace (unlike Claws...), and they only cost £70 from Jimbo. Mark.

My brother's 22, finished his degree, got a job as an analytical chemist in Langley, and he goes out riding every Tuesday (BMX night at the-skatepark-formerly-known-as-Playstation), and Thursdays, and does rock climbing on Wednesday, and goes out with his friends to the pub on Friday nights, with more riding on weekends. Doesn't have to be the end?

Or tried trading the picture for a chair.

I know it doesn't mean much, but I'm glad that they've both been sentenced now. It's good to know they haven't got away with it, even if it is only 3 1/2-7 years for taking away Deej.

That's a cool little booster there! Kudos for making it in your lunch break too (Y) How well does it hold up to braking? Much flex or not?
-
Someone here who was the person I first ever saw riding trials was riding a bright white Monty B221. Was nuts. Had a go, and the combination of crappy U-brake style brakes and triple clamps meant it was a bit on the McCrap side. His was in proper good condition 'cos it had really thick paint on it so it didn't show scratches at all. Think he's sold it on to someone else now though...

WinAce Archiver, if by play you mean unzip? At least, I think that's what a .tar file is?
-
You can... EDIT: 445Mb. Bugger me sideways, that IS a big file.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know who Individual is, I just meant that the big red "(i)DIVIDUAL" in the middle of the page might mis-lead people, seeing as that's not how it's spelt so they might get confused... but never mind.
-
So you can get some nicely stylish riding in too? Generally, there's enough potential in there to have big lines between the individual obstacles, so you still have the other bits too so their style can come to the fore?

Rasterbation. Sport of Kings. -
Two pics I've rasterbated. Did one of me backwheeling too that came out OK. Mark. EDIT: Here is the pic of me. Camera batteries were dying so it was a quick shot, hence it's not taken from the best angle. That's the black and white pic of the BMXer underneath it making it look odd too, btw.

There were a few there mis-spelt, saying IDIVIDUAL, and if people are gonna think "Hmm, (i)dividual seem to sponsor a lot of people, they're probably worth looking at" then try and search for "idividual" they're not going to get far. Seeing as it was big 'n' red too, it kinda drew attention to it. Wasn't necessarily shooting you down for it... Oh, and have you heard the Static-X/Dead Prez version of "Bigger than hip-hop"? Got a bit more drive to it, almost.

These cheeky chaps seem to have sorted the problem. They've lengthened the wheelbase a little, and they've also raised the bar height (hence I've got half the world's stem stackers above the stem to keep it reasonable), so it feels ultra nice to ride. Only problem is is that gapping's a bit funny. Because of the extra bar height, I've gotta have my body in a different position on the back wheel, but it's all good other than that. Just gonna take some adjustment. Mark.

15 complaints? Pretty flattering (Y) Yeah, I hadn't thought of it like that. Fair point.

Danny - I noticed the Amazon thing too when I hovered the mouse over the link (Y) Fishwog - yeah, it's just all those little segments mashed into one thing. 'cos it'd be a freakin' huge video if they were all together, you can download the segments you want to see. Jonny - nice site, really like the layout. Only grumble is that some of the music in the videos is shocking, but there we go. All have different tastes I guess. http://www.trialmedia.co.uk/riders.shtml Might want to go in there and change the big, red typo...

If you can, go for the fun bolts. They're well worth it, so that'd be an idea. If you definitely aren't going for a disc, you might as well not bother with the disc version and maybe save some weight. Tart does King services and seems to work some kinda magic on them, 'cos people tend to send him skipping Kings and get back lovely, non-skipping Kings, so I guess if you get it and it's a bit poop you could just get a Tart service, assuming he still does them? Make sure you just gently ride the hub in before using it for trials, whatever you do. Mark.
