Do you know why the price plummeted suddenly Ad? I thought Raleigh had stocked Maxxis for a while, so it's not like they wouldn't know what product it was? I mean, they used to cost more, and they sold pretty well even at £45 a pair, so it seems random they cut the price so much there's almost a 50% drop in the price for the customer...

Now there are sealed bearing, consistent, well-thought out, high engagement point freewheels on the market it's not such a shitty idea :P I've just had an Eno on my T-Pro now, and it feels pretty nice. Solid, basically. It skipped like once on the first ride I used it on, but you don't really notice 'cos it goes straight to the next E.P. so you don't feel it, basically. You've got so many clicks per crank rotation it means that you don't really have a chance to feel it. Because of the 6-pawl offset system they're running it's pretty dependable. Back when it was self-unscrewing ACS Claws at the top of the market it was a crappy idea, but with the uber nice Tensiles and the pretty fly Eno, it might be worth it. It means you can get micro gearing to increase clearance and save weight too, if you get one of the fixed hubs on offer now (lighter than the standard welded up hubs?). Only bother changing though if you really want it, 'cos if you've got a half-decent setup now you might as well just leave it?

So you're like all the street riders instead? :P Anyway, they do have different styles and stuff - it's the same way that you could say most UK street riders just do the same stuff to be fair. If you don't like the style you won't like it no matter who does it, so it doesn't matter. If they developed frames like the Choco more they might do better, but seeing as it seems Hermance is the main KoxxSt rider they might be f**ked, in fairness.

Nein! Either way, it's a damn good deal. It's weird that Raleigh have messed up the trade prices so much. Good, but weird :P Oh yeah, Sticky Finger rear for £12.99 or Creepy Crawler for £12.50? Tough call :P
-
It's just weird how they cost less than the Luna front tyres do for the rear Creepy Crawler :- Edit #1: Bloody hell, pity it's £6 for P&P for the rear alone otherwise I'd have just bought one from SuperCycles, but I don't have that much in my account. Poopedy-poop! Edit #2: Just checked - £6 for the pair too.
-
Does this mean the rear tyre alone would be laughably cheap? Or is it just that if they're a pair they cost bugger all? EDIT: f**k me! £12.50 :-

That last post was random... From what I've heard they do stick to the grips pretty well. I guess if you compress them together the right amount they should hold nicely, and I'm guessing they wouldn't put them on the market if you got moto-grip constantly. Saying that, WTB still pump their Trail grips out :-\ Either way, might be worth a shot? Mark.

It's a bit sucky for me at the moment too, 'cos I hugely upgraded my drive train :- I used to have a Dicta with 16 (I think) engagement points, so it meant you had a huge distance between you pedalling and it engaging. So I kinda got used to that for pre-loading, but now I've got an Eno and when I preload the pedal it's at another engagement point already, so I've gotta reconfigure how I kick. It's hard to explain, but it's taking some learning... Need to learn the tyre squidge thing. It's never really felt all that comfortable a method for me, but I know I should work it out. Mark.

Bloody good work Mr! That looks really good. Only thing that kinda looked a bit sketch was: Where the chainstay/BB join looks a bit butch, but that's about it. The side-on view looks as real as it could do, to be fair :P Good work with the headtube stamping too. Noticed the sorta weird texturization there, then saw the pic in your other post - good work :P Mark.

Or they sent it to our good friend Mr. Granger and he sent it here as a 'Gift', thus negating the import tax...
-
So is the trend for people to go away from "How can I make my King louder?" to "How can I make my hub deathly silent?" Personally, in answer to that question I'd suggest front freewheel setup with a Dicta, but there we go :S Either way, good luck with the hub Andy. It'll be interesting to hear how it works. Is it similar to the RB Tractor hub, but... well... good?
-
That sucks Mr. Tomm. I was just checking how much it'd sorta be, really, seeing as you'd probably end up paying less than the £425 for the rear hub, effectively getting a free front one... Thanks for all the replies :S

Hey all, Basically, when Sikamon was over today we were checking out prices for Chris King BMX hubs. He didn't believe me that they cost £425+, so I showed him. Searched on an American BMX site, and they were selling the Chris King front hub and the rear cassette hub as a pair for $445.99. This works out as £238.38. So. Basically. Import tax. I know that with EmpireBMX, if you buy from them from the UK they write "Low value gift" or summat on it so the customs people just pass it through, so if that happened a) how much d'you reckon you'd be saving? b) If they opened it, and charged full import tax how much would it be? and c) would it be worth getting? I'm not really interested 'cos I don't have the money, and just bought a lovely Eno, but I was just curious basically. Mark.

The Deej thing was in the "1830 bulletin" video, so you'll need to be quick to see it, unless it's already gone?

I'm always a fan of racing green. Either that, or a nice deep baby blue like the S&M Stricker frames.

Neither are the bikes. Just ask Prawn...

Sucks :D Is there any way you can upgrade your account to have more bandwidth? Or are the donations/sponsors not going to be able to cover it?
-
But not cropping and resizing, I thought someone said? If so, that's a bit poo :-\
-
'cos he's shit :D Nah, good work Mr. George.

Just out of curiosity, is T-S gonna be down again at the end of this month, but earlier than when it's gone down before? 'cos of the TrialMedia videos, that is. Seeing as they seem amazingly popular and there's a lot of them to rape the bandwidth? I can't read Trials-Shack stuff in school (Blocked 'cos it's classed as "Personal Pages"), but seeing as it's just a comp I can't imagine it would be in breach of any rules :-
