    Brake Pads

Bloody ages, from what I can tell with mine and other people's. My green Batch B 'sinks are working nicely. Got Plaz CRM's on a ground rim up front, and both brakes work stupidly well in the wet. Yes, you read that right - CRM's, working well, in the rain. EDIT: Steve's restarting orders this week some time, I believe?
  2. Good riding, but the editing kinda let it down for me a bit. The constant sorta jumping from song to song made the video feel kinda disjointed for me, and the flashing pictures 'n' stuff at the start sorta went with the music, but it would've been nice to just see moves. And fair enough about putting that you've got TartyBikes love, but putting it up randomly in between sections which were sorta similar to the last just ruined the flow a bit. Either way, top riding :turned:

    Frame Problems

Is it the main bolt in the downtube, or at the tail end of the bash? If it's tail end, I'd have thought you wouldn't have been able to helicoil that, but you could just get a nut and bolt and bolt the minx on there?
  4. Got a Passport for it? the .net passport or whatever it is? When you go to log in, it should say something about it.
  5. I doubt I'd be able to hold the insert in place though, without going directly from insert to vice. Also, the insert will only go about half way out, then it gets super hard to move, but not enough to break the bond between insert and spindle. I'm thinking maybe using mole-grips to grip the insert -> crank arm and then undo pedal?
  6. Yeah, it's the same deal, but they're second hand and came sans the little cover.

    Xtr V-brakes

lol Gotta love it when members come on totally bladdered (Y)
  8. Yeah, like syphoning petrol. When MY syringe broke I was tempted, but the mere smell of Magura blood made me wanna chuck up, so actually ingesting/taking it into my mouth seemed a like 100% shit idea (Y)

    Xtr V-brakes

D'you mean the M960? If so, it looks to be a slight upgrade - maybe 2004 and 2005 models, hence the fact they were the same rrp, but they're selling the M951's off cheap?

    Xtr V-brakes

Linky poo Hey Tomm, got some bad news - it's just the brake calipers on offer (Y)
  11. I was thinking that might work, but wasn't sure if it'd evaporate or anything :"> Ah well, getting high from fumes in the bike shop. How delightful (Y)
  12. Hi, Sikamon's coming down here tomorrow so I can bleed his brakes, but he wants to do it with GT-85. Does anyone know how to go about doing it with GT-85? I know how to bleed Maguras, etc., but how do you convert a spray-lube into lovely, hose-filling brake fluid? Thanks for any help, Mark.
  13. Just when you thought DMR V8's were safe... My troubles with my freaking V8's were at an end. My new pedals were here, I was screwing them in, when lo - I get to the right side pedal, and the steel insert on my Onza cranks starts rotating off with the pedal spindle. Piss. Does anyone know of any ways I can stop this happening and get my pedal off? Thanks for any help, Mark.
  14. I'm guessing you're too late to book tickets/admission to the Koxx Days? The closing date last year was mid-February. Either way, check out www.koxx.fr, get a neck brace, and you'll see the dates and prices on there somewhere.
  15. You got raped if you paid £15 for them, by the way - the almost identical product is on sale for a max of £8 at BMX retaillers...
  16. 'lo XTR V-brakes are now only £24.99 for the brake itself now at CRC, which is nearly 50% off? Seeing as people seem to dig 'em, thought I'd let you all know... Mark.
  17. The nearest Halfords is around 45 miles away though, and the nearest Halfords BikeHut is around 90 miles away. Not so good... Either way, Waynio's sending me a Xen to try on. Fortunately (in some ways), each manufacturer has their own average head shape, so I should be able to get some idea of what Giro's is like from that, even though the Semi will feel different. It's the same as how Met's always feel like there's 2 ridges on the crown of the helmet htat dig into my head, and so on...
  18. It sounds stupid, but I like things that look 'designed'. Koxx Levelbosses and so on are all designed as trials bikes, but that's been properly made to fit the purpose. The neat touches like the shifter mount and the drop-outs meaning you can take the wheel off like that are just a good idea, really - it just looks like it's really been thought. Sounds like pretty fly geometry, and it all looks like a super nice package. There's just something fundamentally cool about red bikes :( Mark.
  19. Just 'cos I was wondering, Ben - is your bashguard modded at all? It looks really, really close the frame in some shots. Is it an optical illusion type thing or have you cut it down so it sits nearer the frame? Or am I just not able to remember what mine looks like? :(

    2 Quyestions

Go to www.download.com and get Ad-Aware. Run a Smart System Scan, quarantine and delete the results, and then it'll be gone :(
  21. Screw that, you stock riders already have the video monopoly :P Anyway, the vid downloaded in an hour, and it was well worth watching. Really nice style :( Just out of curiosity, what bar and stem are you running Ben? Looks like the Onza CF risers with the T-Master stem or something?
  22. Just so there's a record of it in here; what was the solution? Is he actually messing you around or is he ill or what? Has the matter been resolved?
  23. Someone here also wants to run them, and I can't see any reason they wouldn't fit seeing as the post mounting is the same as all other BMX pads (unless you run an AD990)?
  24. *cough*Blocked*cough* Pashleyrider, your issue was totally seperate. This thread is asking about whether Andrew's actually online and well or offline and ill, whereas you expected us to all go round to his house or summat and sort everything out. So yeah, different thing totally?
