    Can I Just Ask

Fair enough :"> This is what lack of sleep does... Does how burly the hub is affect it much? 'cos my old T-something wheelset with the tiny, tiny rear hub had a really small diameter hub with some small flanges, and my T-Master hub on my new wheel's got a bloody fat hub, with some small flanges. Is there any "right" size to have it or anything? Or is the flange size not necessarily relevent to the hub diameter? I need sleep.

    Can I Just Ask

More strenght on either the drive side or disc side of a hub? 'cos of the longer flanges meaning shorter spokes which theoretically means a stronger wheel?
  3. 14. Got the fun of wisdom teeth still to go I guess

    f**k

Plus it won't happen again (Y)
  5. What's the price difference, or is it the same price for 4's as 2's?
  6. The Profile has 48 engagement points. The Eno freewheel has 72. However, the Profile has a chain attached to it, and you have a gear ratio. The ratio is 18:12, so for one pedal revolution, you'll actually get 72 engagement points - the same as the front-mounted Eno. So yeah, they're equal engagement-wise.

Helicoil. Every time. Stronger, you don't have to bore out your Magura clamps and booster, and if the helicoil somehow strips you'll be able to sort it out easily whereas if you tap and strip, you'll have to tap to Minfinity...
  8. Was a f**kin' joke, but never mind... I meant that the other site was nice, it's just that the way you called the different website sections weird names on the title page let it down. The actual site itself looked cool; had nice graphics and so on - but it wasn't the easiest of things to get around. Is that clear?
  9. Konnex? KHE? Anyway, the Shadow chain stretches a Hell of a lot due to the shape of the plates (if you're referring to the "Interlock" chain?). It's a super strong chain, but that doesn't count for much if you've got to keep dicking around with chain tension/buying a new one.
  10. I just kinda push down pretty hard, and do single-directional sweeps over however long I think I need too. This grind was my first ever one, and it was with an old disk so it wasn't exactly harsh*. Managed to give a friend the good news in the eye with a tiny shard of metal too. "Not surprising" I hear you cry - however, he was about 8ft away taking the back wheel off my bike at the time. I tried it with the metal grinding disk, and if you even thought about going over the same part it kinda smoothed it off for you. I'm gonna go for stone next. *Unlike the pair of gouges I put in my practise wheel (an old Onza proto cassette hub laced onto DX-32) when I first did it. Brutal (Y)
  11. Sans the porn URL in the intro? ;) It's an OK site lay-out, I kinda prefered the last one apart from the excessively sorta... well... weirdy philosophical sorta section titles to Videos, Pictures, etc. Your site though (Y) It's pretty clean though, which is nice. Mark.
  12. There's a reason for that ;)" I don't *think* there's a difference between the two chains. I've had one in each box, and they've been largely the same? I think the reason BMXers don't appreciate the Kool-ness is 'cos it's got fairly sort of bulbous links that can 'snag' on walls and such when grinding, effectively lunching itself. However, with trials, 'cos of bashrings and so on it's generally OK. Mark.

    Help!

Crank extractors dominate. However, if you do what I did and put your cranks on super tight, then they shat their threads off, you may have to just resort to riding it without a bolt. If you're aware, you can spot it before it falls off or anything, and just yank it off 'fore it rapes the tapers. It didn't harm my crank at all (Y)
  14. That's largely the question I was hoping this thread would answer :turned:
  15. Yeah, but spokes are a tenner or so for one wheel, so you're still getting a pretty good deal on the actual parts used, if you get me? For the King hub + Onza rim...
  16. Stupidly cheap! This isn't supposed to be a direct plug for SuperCycles or whatever, but I was checking out the wheels section on their site and that came up. Seems like a pretty awesome deal, should anyone need a new wheelset/have money burning a hole... Mark.
  17. 0115 941 11 33 I'm sad and know it off by heart :"> Basically, I'd have thought it'd be all the colours they do their rims in, so just try and scope that out on the site :turned: Mark.
  18. Money, maybe? Either that or just sponsorship commitments. That well looks like it was done over the phone, from the sort of phonetic way some of the names are spelt (E.g. Tunni's). Either way, it's a cool turn-out and pretty good they got Ot and Cesar. Last time I saw them ride was at the Sheffield World Indoor Mototrials round, so they were kinda arsing about and just doing some amateur dramatics crap. The riding they did was insane though, it's just that they didn't do enough of it :turned: So yeah, ought to be good to see them riding too. Will it start the next 'bumming' craze on T-F? After Bike'03, everyone was all about Belaey, Reis, etc., so maybe this year it'll be return of the old school riders. Mark.
  19. I gueeeeeeeeess it could work, but it all seems a bit OTT. If people just operated a simple system of: Title: "<website>: New <whatever>, <date>" it'd be easier than having to go through codes, etc. It just makes a bit more sense, really, and speaking from experience of other stuff in the forum, people are more likely to do that 'cos it's less effort than having to think about what's what. Mark.
  20. My chain line was wank, 'til I did my right-side crank bolt up to 80N/m (it should theoretically be 35). It's stretched the taper out enough so the crank's far enough up the spindle so the chain-line's almost straight. I only did it 'cos it wore the f**k out of the side of my Eno ring :turned: It's a b*****d though, BB wise. I *think* 122mm is too narrow, but I just don't know :) I think I'm gonna try and swipe a Tensile + BB setup at Bike now, seeing as I get paid the Thursday before the show. Moneys = happys.
  21. It's a 68x127.5mm BB, but I didn't know if the length of the actual splines on the crank arm affected it much or...er...whatever
  22. Ahoy hoy! I'm currently aiming to buy some Tensiles (maybe) for my T-Pro, but I don't know what BB to get with them. It needs to be 68mm x _ _ _ mm, but I don't know what because I've only ever used splined cranks once before. I'm running an Eno freewheel too, btw. Thanks for any help, Mark.

    Zoo Python

Is it £160 frame only, i.e. no bash? And it's takes a standard headset, yeah?
  24. If it's on your PC, go into the Motocross Madness folder, and open the .pdf manual which has a list of all the standard tricks. However, you can do other tricks which aren't written there. Basically, you can do stuff like no-handed supermen, etc., just by - for example - doing a superman, holding down the lean-back button and pressing backwards when you release the trick key. And so on  There are loads of tricks though, it's all good  Every lean forward and every lean back + every trick 1 and trick 2 key + every direction (up, up-right, right, down-right, etc.) has a different trick, so there are shitloads there.
