  1. Not necessarily long? I think I'd change 'burly' to 'rough', maybe. Not such a huge fan of his style, but there we go.

    Uber Wheel!

I'm guessing he's not using rim-tape or something? Tubes always seem to bulge a bit round the valve?

    Uber Wheel!

I was just thinking it'd have to be chuffin' long, that's all, meaning more chance of it getting kicked or whatever.

    Uber Wheel!

If he's running Maguras, isn't it going to a) be a bitch getting a booster wide enough, and b) getting a cross-over long enough to clear the tyre? I guess he's going to run disc? :-

    Uber Wheel!

It does seem a bit pointless :- And has he actually got grey rim tape there or has he just not bothered with it?
  6. Reckon there's anyone on the stand or are they going to have a PA playing an answerphone message constantly?
  7. Yeah, but did you look then click "DOUBLE FREEWHEEL"? Basically, imagine a freewheel with an outer ring which is wider, with two sets of teeth on; one is 16t and one 18t (that's the Pashley one, anyway). Tried finding a link, but no joy. Aaaaaaaaanyway, Ian at Onza's just given me this shot to put up of the frame:
  8. They're sponsoring a load of the things like the Flatland course (although how you can sponsor a flat bit of ground I don't know). I guess it's the same as the way Right Guard sponsor the X-Games and stuff like that. Bandwagons and all.
  9. Looked like 2 to me :- Could be wrong though, but bearing this in mind, it could be a double...
  10. Holy crap, the Bike Show's website is actually useful for a change...

    Rb Levers

If your LBS is even half-way decent they'll have a load of different bearings out back. Take your bike in and see which ones fit :-
  12. Yeah, that was one of the memories from the last Show I went to ('03) - Fox jerseys, pairs of Tioga tyres and that was about it... Oh, and those wank £30 frames!
  13. He's got an Eno freewheel on there that has two outer rings, meaning two gears. So it's not a "Double freewheel" as such, but just a geared freewheel. With an 8-spd cassette on the back, and a 2-speed freewheel up front, it just seems like overkill on the gears front, really. But there we go, not my bike :-
  14. Fair enough Wayne :- I was just thinking that for some of the Monty and Koxx stuff I want, I could get it from Cleanbikes at the show (I think they've got a stand) and wouldn't have to pay P&P, so I'm saving some money that way
  15. I was guessing so, but I'm after a Creepy Crawler, and I couldn't really think of who stocked them apart from SuperCycles and TartyBikes :- Who is "Trials Shop", btw? I heard their name before, but know nothing about them.
  16. It could be that they wanted to show the CNC'd ness, or it could just be that he'd only just built it up or something. I spoke to Pashley about THEIR double freewheel that they had about 2-3 years ago, but didn't really fancy the idea much. I guess on stock it might work, but to be fair - there doesn't need to be that many gears, surely?
  17. Hello all, I've got some purchases I'm wanting to make at Bike of a trialsy nature, but don't know which shops are going to be there? Does anyone know which ones are/have a list of which shops are there? Thanks for any help, Mark
  18. Barry Huskinson also uses that account, by the way, so he might be getting bitter on his own behalf...
  19. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....60&hl=Leeds18th /\ That's the link; anyone have it or know where I could get it from (Note: not on his site any more...)/Wants to send me it over MSN? I'm on 576k BB now so no 56K nightmare. Thanks, Mark

    Vizbikes.co.uk

Websites without prices on are a bigger threat to the world than AIDs. Fact. The header for the 20" forks page is "26" Forks". There's other sorta similar stuff to that just in product descriptions. In the "Downloads" page, there's only a link to Chai's vid, unless you scroll to the sorta news banner bit at the bottom. Still not really tempted to buy Viz over anything else though, and those kinda crappy product description don't help. Could really do with taking a look at Tartybikes.co.uk and see how they describe stuff. It just makes it sound a lot better (e.g. brake pads (Y)). Mark
  21. But. If I want a 20" frame, say the T-Pro just for the sake of convenience, I phone SuperCycles up on the Monday before 12, frame's here next morning with headset, bash and BB. If I want a 24" bike, it's either Leeson or Curtis. I phone up Clive. We talk about geometry. 1 month later I might have a frame. It's not going to happen until they become more mainstream (at affordable prices, too), as opposed to custom orders. The Ed Tongue rode super nice from what everyone said, so I guess if Ashton could make one of those that could take a beating we'd have a winner, but until then it's just not feasible for most riders.
  22. I guess with the BB rise, that'd make the frame 'feel' shorter, wouldn't it? Also, we don't really know how it'd ride anyway 'til you get an idea of the cockpit length and head-angle, I suppose.
  23. Ad speaks the truth. With 2-bolt Magura mounting systems, the booster is now integrated to the mounts. However, with a 4-bolt Magura it just isn't. It's not them trying to work their way out of it or anything; they simply don't come with them.
