  1. I'm thinking that although it's probably likely Dawg hasn't made the cricket site, he'd at least have to be online to be able to reply, wouldn't he...
  2. Bloody hell, fastest growing topic ever and it's all about pissing yourself...
  3. If it makes you feel any better, mine snapped when I had none, one, and two spacers. This isn't on Echo Teams by the way...
  4. Posted, but got unvalidated back to NMC, I'm guessing...
  5. Every pair of forks I've snapped has gone there, it's a bit arse, really...
  6. Simple way to find our, Terror_Error: Have you had a pair of test pads? If the answer is "No", then no, you aren't a tester. If the answer is "Yes", then yes, you are a tester Looks cool anyway, Steve. Hope you make these pads a decent depth too, fed up with having a sketchy set-up with my back brake 'cos pads are too thin to reach in

    What The Hell?

And The Jolly Roger Cook-Book. That dominated, until there were loads of shit versions of it with sections like "How to hurt and get revenge on someone: Punch them in bollocks" and so on...
  8. Yeah, that's what I thought. Then I thought "But it was f**king flexy 'cos you need the strength of the triangles to resist flexing". Then I thought of food.
  9. More riding time. I don't see the problem? (Y) Nah, fair enough dude I can imagine you're a bit gutted about it, but just remember you've still got friends (assuming you haven't done the usual thing of 100% neglecting them to be with the new G/F), your bike, and fun times to be had. It'll work out cool, she just wasn't "The One".
  10. Pro-Tec helmets seem pretty dialled, really. I was tempted to get one, but tipped in favour of the Xen after Waynio sent me his to try on (Cheers! (Y)). It's awesome 'cos of the adjuster on the back that works super well, locking it onto your head. Really good lid, and pretty cheap from CRC now too, I believe...
  11. All it is is if you go into a pub or something and someone's left Blue-Tooth on, you can activate yours, it'll scan the area, and it'll pick up other's phones, so you can take their data, if you're talking aboots what I think you're talking aboots. It's even less cool than computer hacking...
  12. What's the best height for learning it? I'm guessing higher than you can just backwheel?

  14. Were you 'sponsored' by Lazer before?
  15. Good point, Ad. Unless I'm riding to school, I always wear my Xen. I've nailed my head a coupla times before and it's about as much fun as a late night visit from Michael Jackson. There's really no decent excuse for not wearing a helmet, really. If you get one that fits, it'll usually look fine 'cos it's generally poorly fitting lids that give you the "twat" look... So yeah, if you're worried about looks 'n' shit just shop around. They're well worth getting. Mark
  16. That's a new one. I think you just need to calm down and not post so much, really... Chains will snap, it's a fact of life. Every chain in existence will have been snapped at some point, so don't be surprised if your's does. Just remember to get your hands out in time. Or your elbow, which you will then scuff horrifically, thank-you-very-much-those-steps-at-Lloyds...
  17. Mine typically waits for me to do a gap in a built up area with people watching, then it shits the bed. Then it snaps :)

  19. Hmm, I use Plaz CRM's up front, and as such they're my "Slowing me down" brake, meaning it gets used loads. The pads have stayed at the same level of wear since God was a boy, even with grinds :) Maybe Quick_Spider was the 1,000th customer or something when he got them... Anyway, I prefer squeak, 'cos I've found that usually it means a grabbier brake, which is what I prefer. What does get my goat though is when you have a loud break that still doesn't work a damn. I can deal with the noise if I know the brake's good, so it just takes the piss when it's poop. Mark
  20. I had to take my Taya off for piece of mind. I ran a KMC Z92 chain for quite a while and it didn't break, but I was operating a "Why have cotton when you can have silk?" policy so I got myself a Kool. However, I'm tempted by the KHE Collapse chain - anyone know if they're any good? Mark

    New Shoes

I usually find just bending the sole of the shoe up so the toe of the shoe touches the tongue works fine, really. It stresses the area of the shoe that the pedal actually sits on, and it really, really does work. Just bend it to that point a coupla times and you'll be sorted :) However, if by "Dually" you mean 661's SPD compatible shoe, then they'll basically always be stiff. If not though, they probably just need to be bent in, then ridden to finish 'em off...

    My New Bike

Yeah, sounds right. Basically, inlet tube on the rear brake, escape tube on the front one, and it acts as one complete system. The only problem I could imagine would be that it'd be a bitch not to get air trapped, but if you took the front brake off the forks and held it above the lever, it should be fine :) Good work anyway, nice bike, and kudos to you for riding trials :) Mark

    .~

You sure that wasn't you landing at an angle, thus pushing the left side of the axle back and the right side forwards, meaning slack chain?

    .~

I don't really get how you mean the wheel would get pushed forwards gapping? Surely it'd get pushed back as you hung the back end up? Aaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, it IS possible to run a mod without chain tugs, but it's a bitch fine-tuning it, which is where our lovely friend Mr. Tug comes into it. On my T-Pro, I'm running some random-ass chaintug on the right, with the sticking out part of the bolt cut down so there's just a tiny bit showing past the nut. It keeps it all low profile, and because of my constant gearing and chain length (KMC Kool, so minimal stretch, and it's worn in now anyway), I don't need to alter it to take in more slack anyway. But yeah, me and every BMXer (mostly) in the world have generally found chain tugs to work perfectly well, but it seems that now frames are coming with just the option to run snail cams, which seems a little whack... I think with the Python, your best bet will just have to be snails outside the drop-outs. Gutted :) Mark
