No-one's, pretty much. Just so long as you realise (Y)

You don't actually know the circumstances, and weren't actually there, so you do realise you're totally wasting your time spouting crap about it?
  3. I think I speak for us all when I say that's a f**king beast of a headtube gusset.
  4. [sarcasm]Never heard of a Profile skip.[/sarcasm] Haven't noticed any 'crap' being drawn to my freewheel either, seeing as it's kept well clear of most stuff. The only 'sketchy' bit would be the dirt seal by the pawls, but that's covered most of the time by your foot, and the crank itself. The only other way in is via the lockring/bearing/sealed bit, so that's unlikely too. I just tie my shoelace around the bottom of my trouser leg and it keeps it all together. Managed to get my trousers shredded on my BMX the other day too (and this morning en route to school), and that's with a rear freewheel... Mark
  5. Aaaaaaaaaah, I see - front touching. Yeah... Since I got 175mm cranks on mine, it meant I had to take off later in general to actually get the power down properly (spinnier 'n' stuff, so I had to kick later to get the same power). This meant I was sorta forced into doing front touches more just because of the later take-off. I haven't properly learnt taps yet, but I've done some accidental ones out on rides, so my highest 'accidental tap' was around 48"... Mark

In my defense: The pic was darker, and it was only a thumbnail when I saw it so I couldn't see the BB's :deej:
  7. What sort of tyre-tap do you mean? D'you mean like an abubaca where you go straight up and come back down fakie and roll out, or more like a fufanu where you'll go at an angle? Don't really mind doing abubacas. Prefer doing them up steps for some reason (like roll along the floor at bottom of steps, then boost up to X step height, plant the back wheel, launch off backwards). Got a fufanu on this weird bank->tree root thing, but I need to practise them loads more. Do "tyre taps" in a BMXing sense sometimes though, but I just do abubacas mostly...
  8. I'm guessing that a large percentage of sidehopping riders would say they could do it highest to pedal. Unfortunately, I literally cannot stand sidehops to pedal, so I haven't really bothered learning them (Apart from when I first learnt to sidehop). Rubber's where it's at (Y)
  9. Yeah, but because the Profile's on the back wheel, if you run 18:12 it'll technically have 72 engagements per crank-stroke anyway, same as your Profile. 18/12 = 1.5 48*1.5=72
  10. Luke speaks the truth. I found that at first, my Eno was a little quiet and sometimes skipped, but I stripped it down and all that had happened was the sealed bearings had oozed some excess grease out, and the only place it could go was into the pawls, springs and the ratchet area, meaning that it slowed the whole process down. I totally cleaned that area out, put a little spray lube on it, and built it back up. About 2 weeks later I stripped it again just to see how it was doing and there was a tiny bit of grease on there, but that was it. They're really good freewheels. I had to go back to running an ACS for a short while after having my Eno and it was weird - I just couldn't deal with it. There was just too much play and flex in the engagement and it just felt shit. I know it's £70, but I'm happy to pay that much for a part that is as valuable as a freewheel is in a drive-train, and for something that seems like it'll last (plus seeing as it's all replaceable it's gonna be repairable). A Claymore mine. Although it wasn't a Claymore mine in that post a few minutes ago. And there were two posts after it. And now there aren't. (Y)
  13. I'll try and make it down, but I'd have to come by train and it's gonna be a bit of a mission. Think Trainline said around £44 train fare, which might be too much (Y)

    Ymsa Round 2

Hot shit - Slinger owned! I'll be at the next one, come Hell and/or high water (seeing as it's in June, meaning summer time, I'm guessing it's gonna absolutely belt it down, so we'll see how accurate I am (Y)).
  15. Already ordered some from Supercycles earlier. Talk about poopy timing (Y)
  16. I've always found my brake to be fine as long as I scrub it a bit before proper usage dans le wet. Koxx Bloxx greens are pretty handy, really. They'd also go with the colour-coding OK-ish, if you're particularly arsed
  17. I don't *think* it is... I'm pretty it like follows on from each other, if you get me? Like the bottom pic is a continuation of the top one? If you flipped the bottom horizontally, and then boshed it onto the end of the top one it'd fit, if you see what I mean? Shit paint drawing ahoy :S Sorted. You've gotta bear in mind these are for those bull-horn style roadie bars, so they need longer grips  Unless this is all wrong, anyway...
  18. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the Spanish Fly is made for a smooth rim, and the CRM's are made for a grind? Might be wrong there. Either way, I've heard a LOT more positive things about CRM's, and I love mine :S If you like 'em, why change? Mark
  19. Just as an update - I've come across a new pair of Monty foams, so I'll use them until they die, but I've been pointed in the direction of those chappies up there /\ Onza Brahma grips. £5, you cut 'em to length. Don't seem too bad  I'd obviously only be using the super thin version on the top, the rest - from what I can tell from other sites - is for use on barendy bits on road bikes or something like that... Anyway, yeah, thin grips people - another option! Mark
  20. No point in cheating in practise papers, seeing as that's completely pointless if you do? I don't mean that in a "Cheating's bad, m'kay?" way, just that if you don't get it you'd be better off just waiting and asking how to work it out or whatever. Plus, it means you can get away without doing the rest, then saying to your teacher you didn't do any of the rest 'cos it was too hard  Mark

  22. Apart from felt, the one thing in life I can't stand in owing people money, thus I don't really want to have to do that unless I really can't find anywhere on the interweb that can do them. I'll call SuperCycles tomorrow, thanks for all the replies
  23. Hey all, Looking for some Cane Creek Zero-Stack 2 headset bearings. Found 'em at a variety of places, none of which accept Visa-Electron  Places so far I've tried are: Wiggle, Pedal-On and UKBikeStore. Does anyone know of anywhere else I can get them from? Thanks for any help, Mark
