Yeah, but to the rider who's complaining about people having singlespeed and thus a lighter set-up - he's got gears, so he's got a mechanical advantage anyway? 'cos he'd be theoretically able to set himself up better? Anyhoo, I'm guessing it's a throwback to when sections used to be more rolling orientated and less technical. The top level, properly elite UCI/BIU sections now are pretty insane, whereas before they'd have been more rolling (i.e. bank orientated, similar to the mototrials competitions they were replicating), so gears would've meant completing the section in a shorter time maybe, 'cos you got change into a harder gear and tank along? Plus the section loops might've been longer, requiring more riding from point a -> b?

Yeah, but what about your family who'd be paying to have the memorial made? Unless they were ultra pro trials riding, I think they'd be a little unhappy to see a memorial for a loved one being battered and smashed? I'd have thought the same would've gone for a war memorial. It obviously doesn't matter to the dead people 'cos they're...well...dead, but for relatives who are still alive, it's not gonna be super good. It's just one spot you have to leave alone, really, so it's not like it's the end of the world to not ride it, so it's best just to leave it alone.

I gently reminded. Then asked where the f**k my promised Odyssey gear was
-
Well, I won "Best letter" from Ride over a year ago, meaning I should've had some Odyssey bits 'n' bobs. Never got 'em
-
Whoa whoa whooooooooa - you gave them presents 'cos you dumped her, then nailed someone else? Weirdest reason *ever* for getting a bottle of absynthe... "Here you go Mark." "What...? Why are you giving me this?" "Well, you see, I was going out with your sister, but dumped her 'cos it got hella serious, had sex with an ex, and now want to get back with her." "OK, put it on the pile..."
-
Er, Jon Fisher thought that too, meaning his brake didn't bite sometimes. To give an idea of what happens when this happens, you should try and get a copy of the video of him manualling down a rock at Bracken Rocks to loop out to savage back smash. Ho-rrific. Could you not file it, or d'you mean the actual wee piston bit that goes into the HS33 body cylinder?
-
The editing was just... a bit sorta... "meh". It only got through 'cos the riding was insane. So yeah, as Mr. Wood said - Riding = top f**king drawer, but the editing and music choice wasn't up to the same standard  Basically, if a rider with less skill had edited a video like that with that music, everyone would be slagging it. Still not as good a vid as Zoo23 (if that was the one Craig did ages ago?). Riding was just insane though. He's at a level that very few people are likely to get to...

Alex DX-32 do it for you? Or is that too narrow for you? Check out Bigman's bike in the Gallery to get an idea
-
Fair enough. The lever blade's longer, isn't it? So does it give more power in a nice way, or is it just sponge-tastic?
-
Is this "gold things" shiz to do with the RB, or to do with the regular HS33 body?
-
Thanks Andy. That wasn't necessarily a "Hurry up, foo'", just saying that I know those vids are gonna rule, judging from the footage from the vids I've seen so far. Bit of a "Koxx Days" video extravaganza all over again...

Eengoedidee isn't down, is it? I'm getting a whole world of "Server cannot be found" from it, which has never happened before (Y)
-
You can get spare R.B. lever seals from http://www.heatsinkpads.com if you want to give it another try, maybe? Before you file the lever down, leastways, in case you want to go back?
-
Seeing as this is a topic about rims, does anyone know if any manufacturer still sells Alex DX-32 rims? Either branded with their name or just on their own?
-
It's not her 'time of the month' is it? Might explain the moodiness and so on (Y) Meh, girls are always unpredictable and are able to somehow work out the history of the world from the tone of voice you use to say "Hello", so I wouldn't let it get to you too much. Worst comes to worst, rohypnol.

I think actually my favourite one was the one with Nathan in the bottom left corner with the bridge going on from it. I know you can't see the move, but I thought the picture 'worked'. Meh, different strokes for different folks I guess.

Hope now sell their brakes with optional mineral oil compatible seals, for people who care about not stripping the finish off their bike if they drip fluid onto it accidentally, or are more environmentally friendly... Or wanna use water in a Hope disc brake, I guess (Y)

Hey Matt, There's those three and one more that were usable. I've put them in my Gallery ('cos I didn't know you'd done this thread) if anyone wants to see the other mystery pic  Been busy making a video, now including Swansea footage (Y) Mark

I meant more the style of obstacle like the Embassy/Marlboro cigarette packs at the Sheffield indoor round and so on. Just different objects and so on, putting pallets on their sides and so on. Just try it out, I guess...

Like Div said like I said ((Y)), if you tap it out to M6, you've got a few problems: 1. If you strip it again, what then? M7? 2. If you tap the threads out, you'll need to drill out your clamps so the bolts will fit through. 3. If you've had to drill your clamps, you'll also have to drill your booster. 4. The tapped threads won't be as strong as a helicoil. Helicoil kits are pretty readily available from most hardware shops for around £15-20, I think. However, most engineering firms/companies/car garages/some bike shops will be able to do it for you.
-
Don't tap it. Get a helicoil set, and you'll need to bear in mind it's an M5 thread. Helicoiling it means it'll be a stronger set up (if you strip the M6 thread you'd tap it out to, you're f**ked, and you'll have to drill out your booster, clamps and so on anyway for the M6), and no mod'ing of your parts.

Best Chain Tugs To Replace Broken 2005 Tpro Models
Mark W replied to CBProductions's topic in Trials Chat
I dunno, chain tugs always seem to work for me... Basically any 10mm chain tug you can buy will be fine, really. 10mm axle-specific chain-tugs will accomodate the 5mm allen key bolt that will, in effect, be your axle, and the hole won't be so big it won't be able to take the chain tug. www.customriders.com, www.alansbmx.com or www.winstanleysbmx.co.uk (or .com?) will all sell ones that'll work... -
No problem (Y) Are the low-slung stays likely to stay on for the production model, assuming there's going to be one? I didn't really get if they were just like an exercise in manufacturing like that terminator bike before, or if they're actually gonna be viable in the end?

Got the last 50%. Gutted. Is that last sidehop supposedly the most beautiful one ever filmed? If so, beg to differ...
